How can I register for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits?

If you are an active SPG Member and have an active Total Rewards program account, you may register to participate in Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits through www.TotalRewards.com/SPG or www.spg.com/caesars. Phone registrations will not be accepted. 

When can I register for the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits?

Registration for the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits begins December 18, 2013.

When will I start receiving benefits after registering for the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits?

You will begin receiving benefits you are eligible for 48 hours after you complete the registration process.   No benefits will be given prior to January 9, 2014, when the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits begin.

Can I opt-out of Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits at any time?

Yes. SPG Members may opt-out of Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits at any time by calling the SPG Customer Contact Center.

Who is eligible to register for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits?

An active Total Rewards member who has an SPG program account under the same name is eligible to register for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits, except for members who (1) have an SPG Employee level account; or (2) registered for the SPG Airline Direct Deposit (ADD) program.

I am currently not a Seven Stars Member and do not have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program.  Can I still register for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits?

Yes, as long as you are an active SPG Member and have a Total Rewards program account, you are eligible to register for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits unless you (1) have an SPG Employee level account; or (2) are registered for the SPG Airline Direct Deposit (ADD) program.

I tried to register to participate in Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits through www.TotalRewards.com/SPG, but have been unable to complete my registration. What do I do?

If your attempt to register to participate in Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits through www.TotalRewards.com/SPG fails, it is likely because: (1) the name on your SPG Member account does not match the name on your Total Rewards account; or (2) your SPG Member account has expired.  Please contact Total Rewards Customer Support to resolve the problem based on the message you received.

Can I register to participate in Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits if I have registered to participate in Crossover Rewards?

Yes.  At this time, participation in Crossover Rewards does not restrict your ability to participate in Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits.

If I register for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and have elite status in the SPG Program, will I receive status in the Total Rewards program?

No.  The Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits do not provide for status matching for elite SPG Program members.

As a Seven Stars Member in the Total Rewards program, do I receive any special benefits in the SPG Program for registering to participate in the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits?

Yes.  By registering for the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits: (1) a Seven Stars Member that is not a Gold Preferred Guest or a Platinum Preferred Guest in the SPG Program at the time of registration will receive Gold Preferred Status in the SPG Program within 2 weeks after registration and will maintain at least Gold Preferred Status for as long as he/she remains both a Seven Stars Member and a participant in the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits; and (2) a Seven Stars Member that is a Gold Preferred Guest or a Platinum Preferred Guest in the SPG Program at the time of registration for the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits will maintain at least Gold Preferred Status in the SPG Program for as long as he/she remains both a Seven Stars Member and a participant in the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits.

Earning Reward Credits and Tier Credits for Eligible Stays at SPG Participating Hotels

If I am registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits, how many Reward Credits will I earn for an Eligible Stay at an SPG Participating Hotel?

If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and you are a Seven Stars Member or have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program, in addition to earning Starpoints for Eligible Stays at SPG Participating Hotels, you will earn one Reward Credit for every one U.S. dollar or its foreign equivalent spent on Eligible Charges during your Eligible Stay.

Is there a maximum number of Reward Credits I can earn from Eligible Stays at SPG Participating Hotels?

No. If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and you are a Seven Stars Member or have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program there is no maximum number of Reward Credits you can earn from Eligible Stays at SPG Participating Hotels.

What charges are Eligible Charges on which I will earn Reward Credits during Eligible Stays at SPG Participating Hotels?

If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and you are a Seven Stars Member or have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program,  you are eligible to earn Reward Credits on all charges that are Eligible Charges under the SPG Program Terms

What stays are Eligible Stays during which I will earn Reward Credits at SPG Participating Hotels?

If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and you are a Seven Stars Member or have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program,  you are eligible to earn Reward Credits during stays that are Eligible Stays under the SPG Program Terms

If I am registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits, how many Tier Credits will I earn for an Eligible Stay at an SPG Participating Hotel?

If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and you are a Seven Stars Member or have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program, you will earn 100 Tier Credits per Eligible Stay at an SPG Participating Hotel, up to a maximum of 2,500 Tier Credits per calendar year for any paid stays.  Redemption stays at SPG Participating Hotels (e.g., Eligible Stays earned through the redemption of Starpoints or Reward Credits) will not earn Tier Credits.

Is there a maximum number of Tier Credits I can earn from Eligible Stays at SPG Participating Hotels?

Yes.  If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and you are a Seven Stars Member or have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program, you may earn a maximum of 2,500 Tier Credits per calendar year through the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits. 

How soon can I start earning Reward Credits after I register for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits?

If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and you are a Seven Stars Member or have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program, after January 9, 2014, you will be able to earn Reward Credits for eligible stays at SPG Participating Hotels if you registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits at least 48 hours prior to checking-out of the SPG Participating Hotel for an eligible stay.

How soon are Reward Credits that I earn for an Eligible Stay at an SPG Participating Hotel deposited into my Total Rewards program account?

If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and are a Seven Stars Member or have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program, Reward Credits will post to your Total Rewards account within 4 to 6 weeks after an Eligible Stay at an SPG Participating Hotel is completed. 

Can Total Rewards members that are not Seven Stars Members and do not have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program earn Reward Credits through Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits for Eligible Stays at SPG Participating Hotels?

No.  If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and you are not a Seven Stars Member and do not have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program, you will not be able to earn Reward Credits for Eligible Stays at SPG Participating Hotels through Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits.

Who do I contact if I have not received Reward Credits for an Eligible Stay at an SPG Participating Hotel?

If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and you are a Seven Stars Member or have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program, you earn Reward Credits for your Eligible Stay and at least 4 to 6 weeks have passed since your Eligible Stay at an SPG Participating Hotel was completed, contact the SPG Customer Contact Center if you are missing Reward Credits for an Eligible Stay at an SPG Participating Hotel.

Can I earn Reward Credits for Eligible Stays at SPG Participating Hotels I booked prior to registering for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits?

If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and you are a Seven Stars Member or have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program , you will be able to earn Reward Credits for Eligible Stays at SPG Participating Hotels if you registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits at least 48 hours prior to checking-out of the SPG Participating Hotel for an Eligible Stay regardless of when such stay was booked.   

Can I earn Reward Credits for Eligible Stays at SPG Participating Hotels I completed before I registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits?

No.   Eligible Stays at SPG Participating Hotels that occur prior to registration for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits will not be eligible to earn Reward Credits through Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits.

If I book a stay at an SPG Participating Hotel using Starpoints or Reward Credits will I earn Reward Credits for my Eligible Charges during that stay?

Yes.  If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and you are a Seven Stars Member or have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program , you will earn Reward Credits for Eligible Charges during Eligible Stays at SPG Participating Hotels that result from the redemption of Starpoints or Reward Credits.

If I book a stay at an SPG Participating Hotel using Starpoints or Reward Credits will I earn Tier Credits for that stay?

No.  Stays at SPG Participating Hotels that result from the redemption of Starpoints or Reward Credits are ineligible to earn Tier Credits under the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits.

If I book a stay at an SPG Participating Hotel through an online travel agency website am I eligible to earn Reward Credits for that stay?

No.  If you make a reservation for a stay at SPG Participating Hotels through an online travel agency (e.g., priceline.com, expedia.com, booking.com, orbitz.com, elong.com), you are not eligible to receive Reward Credits for that stay even if you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and are a Seven Stars Member or have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program.

If I am a Seven Stars Member or have Diamond or Platinum status in the Total Rewards program will I receive any elite benefits during my stay at an SPG Participating Hotel?

No.  The Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits do not entitle a Seven Stars Member or a Total Rewards member with Diamond or Platinum status to receive elite benefits during a stay at an SPG Participating Hotel.   Seven Stars Members that become Gold Preferred Guests through the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits will be eligible to receive elite benefits based on their status in the SPG Program.

Earning Starpoints and Eligible Nights for Stays at Caesars Participating Hotels

Which Caesars hotels are Caesars Participating Hotels for purposes of the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits?

For purposes of the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits, Caesars Participating Hotels means the following hotels in the United States: (subject to change without notice)

If I am registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits, how many Starpoints will I earn for an eligible stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel?

If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits, in addition to earning Reward Credits for stays at Caesars Participating Hotels, you will earn two Starpoints for every one U.S. dollar or its foreign equivalent spent on qualifying hospitality spend during stays at Caesars Participating Hotels regardless of status in the SPG Program, up to a maximum of 100,000 Starpoints per calendar year. 

Is there a maximum number of Starpoints I can earn from eligible stays at Caesars Participating Hotels?

Yes. If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits, you may earn up to a maximum of 100,000 Starpoints per calendar year for eligible stays at Caesars Participating Hotels.

What spend is "qualified hospitality spend" on which I will earn Starpoints during eligible stays at Caesars Participating Hotels?

"Qualified hospitality spend" is any spend that is charged to your room while staying at Caesars Participating Hotels and is not paid for with comps upon checkout.

What stays are "eligible stays" during which I will earn Starpoints at Caesars Participating Hotels?

Eligible Stays are hotel stays on any hotel published room rate other than an Ineligible Rate, including but not limited to CAESARS or CAESARS Member Brand hotel website rates, best available unrestricted rates, etc.
"Ineligible Rates" include, but are not limited to:
a.            Airline employee or crew rates;
b.            Travel agency employee rates
c.             Caesars/ hotel employee or employee family discount rates;
d.            Any complimentary, free or barter night stays, or any stays in connection with gift certificates or other awards or vouchers;
e.            Airline interrupted-trip vouchers
f.             Internet wholesale/third party rates (such as expedia.com, hotels.com, etc.)
g.            Traditional wholesale rates
h.            Tour groups, incentives and conferences
i.              At the discretion of each hotel, some volume contracted room rates

If I am registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits, how many Eligible Nights will I earn through the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits towards meeting the Gold Minimum Requirement and the Platinum Minimum Requirement in the SPG Program?

If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits, each night of a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel that is eligible to receive Reward Credits or that results from the redemption of Reward Credits or Starpoints in which the SPG Member stays in the room will count as an Eligible Night for the purpose of meeting the Gold Minimum Requirement and the Platinum Minimum Requirement in the SPG Program, up to a maximum of 10 Eligible Nights per Qualifying Period. 

How many Eligible Nights I earn through Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits will count towards achieving SPG Lifetime Gold status or SPG Lifetime Platinum status in the SPG Program?

None.  Eligible Nights earned pursuant to the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits will not count towards meeting the Eligible Night requirements in order to achieve SPG Lifetime Gold status or SPG Lifetime Platinum status under the SPG Program Terms.

Is there a maximum number of Eligible Nights towards meeting the Gold Minimum Requirement and the Platinum Minimum Requirement in the SPG Program that I can earn from stays at Caesars Participating Hotels?

Yes.  If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits, you may earn a maximum of 10 Eligible Nights per Qualifying Period towards meeting the Gold Minimum Requirement and the Platinum Minimum Requirement in the SPG Program per Qualifying Period through the Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits. 

Can I earn Starpoints and Eligible Nights towards meeting the Gold Minimum Requirement and the Platinum Minimum Requirement in the SPG Program for guest rooms I am not staying in at a Caesars Participating Hotel?

If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits, you may earn Starpoints on up to 3 guest rooms per night of an eligible stay, provided that you stay in one of the 3 guest rooms.  However, only the one guest room that you stay in per night will count as an Eligible Night towards meeting the Gold Minimum Requirement and the Platinum Minimum Requirement in the SPG Program.

How soon can I start earning Starpoints after I register for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits?

If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and meet the eligible criteria, after January 9, 2014, you will be able to earn Starpoints for eligible stays at Caesars Participating Hotels if you registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits at least 48 hours prior to checking-out of the Caesars Participating Hotel for an eligible stay.

How soon are Starpoints that I earn for an eligible stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel deposited into my SPG program account?

If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits, Starpoints will post to your SPG account within 4 to 6 weeks after an eligible stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel is completed. 

Will Gold Preferred Guests and Platinum Preferred Guests receive bonus Starpoints for stays at Caesar Participating Hotels? 

No.  Gold Preferred Guests and Platinum Preferred Guests that are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits will earn two Starpoints for every one U.S. dollar or its foreign equivalent spent on qualifying hospitality spend during stays at Caesars Participating Hotels, up to a maximum of 100,000 Starpoints per calendar year. 

Who do I contact if I have not received Starpoints for an eligible stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel?

If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and meet the eligible criteria to earn Starpoints for your eligible stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel and at least 4 to 6 weeks have passed since your eligible stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel was completed, contact the Total Rewards Customer Support if you are missing Starpoints for an eligible stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel.

Can I earn Starpoints for eligible stays at Caesars Participating Hotels I booked prior to registering for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits?

If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits and meet the eligible criteria, you will be able to earn Starpoints for eligible stays at Caesars Participating Hotels if you registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits at least 48 hours prior to checking-out of the Caesars Participating Hotel for an eligible stay regardless of when such stay was booked.   

Can I earn Starpoints for eligible stays at Caesars Participating Hotels I completed before I registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits?

No.   Eligible stays at Caesars Participating Hotels that occur prior to registration for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits will not be eligible to earn Starpoints through Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits.

If I book a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel using Reward Credits or Starpoints will I earn Starpoints for my qualified hotel spend during that stay?

Yes.  If you are registered for SPG-Total Rewards Member Benefits and meet the eligible criteria, you will earn Starpoints for Eligible Charges during Eligible Stays at Caesars Participating Hotels that result from the redemption of Starpoints or Reward Credits.

If I book a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel using Reward Credits or Starpoints will I earn Eligible Nights towards meeting the Gold Minimum Requirement and the Platinum Minimum Requirement in the SPG Program?

Yes.  If you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits, each night of a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel that results from the redemption of Reward Credits or Starpoints in which the SPG Member stays in the room will count as an Eligible Night for the purpose of meeting the Gold Minimum Requirement and the Platinum Minimum Requirement in the SPG Program, up to a maximum of 10 Eligible Nights per Qualifying Period.

If I book a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel through an online travel agency website am I eligible to earn Starpoints for that stay?

No.  If you make a reservation for a stay at Caesars Participating Hotels through an online travel agency (e.g., priceline.com, expedia.com, booking.com, orbitz.com, elong.com), you are not eligible to receive Starpoints for that stay even if you are registered for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits.

If I am a Gold Preferred Guest or Platinum Preferred Guest will I receive any elite benefits during my stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel?

No.  The Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits do not entitle a Gold Preferred Guest or Platinum Preferred Guest to receive elite benefits during a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel.

Are meetings and events held at Caesars Participating Hotels eligible for group promotions that Starwood may offer for meetings and events?

No.  The Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits do not apply to meetings and events booked at Caesars Participating Hotels.

If I pay for my stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel using the SPG American Express credit card will I qualify for the same benefits, including double Starpoints that I do when staying at SPG Participating Hotels?

No.  The SPG American Express Card benefits that apply when staying at SPG Participating Hotels (e.g., double Starpoints on all Eligible Charges) do not apply when staying at Caesars Participating Hotels.

Redeeming Reward Credits for Stays at Starwood Hotels

Do I need to register for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits in order to redeem Reward Credits for stays at SPG Participating Hotels?

No.  A Total Rewards Member does not have to register for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits in order to redeem Reward Credits for stays at SPG Participating Hotels.

Do I need to be an SPG Member in order to redeem Reward Credits for stays at SPG Participating Hotels?

No.  A Total Rewards Member does not have to be an SPG Member in order to redeem Reward Credits for stays at SPG Participating Hotels.

Can I redeem Reward Credits for upgrades at Participating SPG Hotels?

No.  A Total Rewards Member cannot redeem Reward Credits for upgrades at SPG Participating Hotels.

Can I redeem Reward Credits for spa, dining, and other incidentals at SPG Participating Hotels?

No.  A Total Rewards Member cannot redeem Reward Credits for hotel stay related incidentals.

Once I redeem Reward Credits for a stay at an SPG Participating Hotel, how do I modify or cancel reservation?

If you redeem Reward Credits for a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel, modifications are not permitted.  However, you may cancel your reservation and have your Reward Credits refunded to your SPG Member account if you cancel your reservation through www.TotalRewards.com/SPG  at least 72 hours before check-in at the Caesars Participating Hotel.  No cancellations may be made by contacting the SPG Customer Contact Center or Caesars or the applicable Caesars Participating Hotel.

If I redeem Reward Credits for a stay at an SPG Participating Hotel, will my Reward Credits be refunded to my Total Rewards Member account if I cancel my reservation within 72 hours before check-in at the SPG Participating Hotel?

No.  You must cancel your reservation through www.TotalRewards.com/SPG at least 72 hours before check-in at the SPG Participating Hotel in order to have Reward Credits refunded to your Total Rewards Member account.

Can I redeem Reward Credits for a stay at an SPG Participating Hotel by contacting Starwood or the applicable SPG Participating Hotel?

No.  You may only redeem Reward Credits for a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel through www.TotalRewards.com/SPG.

If I redeem Reward Credits for a stay at an SPG Participating Hotel, will I have to pay taxes for my stay?

No.  The Reward Credits that you redeem for a stay at an SPG Participating Hotel include all taxes.

If I redeem Reward Credits for a stay at an SPG Participating Hotel, will I have to pay resort charges and other automatic mandatory charges for my stay?

Yes.  If you redeem Reward Credits for a stay at an SPG Participating Hotel that has a resort charge or other automatic mandatory charges, these charges will need to be paid directly to the SPG Participating Hotel.

Redeeming Starpoints for Stays at Caesars Hotels

Do I need to register for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits in order to redeem Starpoints for stays at Caesars Participating Hotels?

No.  An SPG Member does not have to register for Total Rewards-SPG Member Benefits in order to redeem Starpoints for stays at Caesars Participating Hotels.

Do I need to be a Total Rewards Member in order to redeem Starpoints for stays at Caesars Participating Hotels?

No.  An SPG Member does not have to be a Total Rewards Member in order to redeem Starpoints for stays at Caesars Participating Hotels.

Can I redeem Starpoints for upgrades at Caesars Participating Hotels?

No.  An SPG Member cannot redeem Starpoints for upgrades at Caesars Participating Hotels.

Can I redeem Starpoints for spa, dining, and other incidentals at Caesars Participating Hotels?

No.  An SPG Member cannot redeem Starpoints for hotel stay related incidentals.

Once I redeem Starpoints for a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel, how do I modify or cancel reservation?

If you redeem Starpoints for a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel, modifications are not permitted.  However, you may cancel your reservation and have your Starpoints refunded to your SPG Member account if you cancel your reservation through totalrewards.spg.com  at least 72 hours before check-in at the Caesars Participating Hotel.  No cancellations may be made by contacting the SPG Customer Contact Center or Caesars or the applicable Caesars Participating Hotel.

If I redeem Starpoints for a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel, will my Starpoints be refunded to my SPG Rewards Member account if I cancel my reservation within 72 hours before check-in at the Caesars Participating Hotel?

No.  You must cancel your reservation through www.spg.com/caesars at least 72 hours before check-in at the Caesars Participating Hotel in order to have Starpoints refunded to your SPG Member account.

Can I redeem Starpoints for a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel by contacting Starwood or the applicable SPG Participating Hotel?

No.  You may only redeem Starpoints for a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel through www.spg.com/caesars.

If I redeem Starpoints for a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel, will I have to pay taxes for my stay?

Yes.  If you redeem Starpoints for a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel that has a resort charge or other automatic mandatory charges, these charges will need to be paid directly to the Caesars Participating Hotel.

If I redeem Starpoints for a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel will I earn Eligible Nights towards meeting the Gold Minimum Requirement and the Platinum Minimum Requirement in the SPG Program?

Yes. Each night of a stay at a Caesars Participating Hotel that results from the redemption of Starpoints in which the SPG Member stays in the room will count as an Eligible Night for the purpose of meeting the Gold Minimum Requirement and the Platinum Minimum Requirement in the SPG Program, up to a maximum of 10 Eligible Nights per Qualifying Period. These Eligible Nights will not count towards meeting the Eligible Night requirements in order to achieve SPG Lifetime Gold status or SPG Lifetime Platinum status under the SPG Program Terms.
