Caesars' properties are proud to be an integral part of many diverse communities world-wide. Embracing the responsibilities that come with being the world's most diversified gaming company, and fulfilling the unique opportunities we have to effect positive change, is more than what we do. It is who we are.
"I love working for a company that truly inspires team members to be at their best both personally and professionally. Caesars Entertainment values each of us for our eccentricities creating a fun, diverse, and productive workplace. Our values also extend to our involvement in our communities and environment, which is a quality that I appreciate in an employer. Working for a company that encourages nearly 70,000 employees to make a difference is not only amazing, but motivating!"
- Ronda Fraley, Engagement Advisor (Las Vegas)
"I am proud to work for a company that values every member of their team, allows for space to grow, and encourages us to exercise our diversity. Caesars Entertainment not only embraces who we are, but also inspires us to give back and get involved with our local community. I am motivated by the commitment of the company and the opportunities it provides to me, my colleagues, and my community."
- Nikki Jackson, Manager of Employee Activities (Atlantic City)
As active community members, the local insights provided by our HERO employee volunteers help us ensure that our work reflects the diversity of our individual resorts, our employees and the communities we serve.
During 2012, our employees and their families contributed nearly 200,000 volunteer hours through individual volunteerism and HERO-sponsored events across the U.S., UK and Canada.
Each property's team of HERO employee volunteers are the primary source of community involvement and play a role determining one third of the strategic focus for each region based on local priorities. For instance, the Las Vegas region focuses on education and independent living in addition to the core focus areas: health and wellness, environment and aging.
Regional and Resort Giving
Our volunteerism initiatives are frequently combined with multi-year philanthropic gifts to achieve long-term social and environmental change. Sharing its financial success with communities through the corporation and Caesars Foundation many noble causes have received assistance and have inspired innovate programs such as Clean the World, National Park Trust's Kids to Parks Day and Breast Cancer Awareness Month "Battle of the Bras". Funds have also been committed to aid in disaster relief efforts ranging from Super Storm Sandy and the 2013 Boston Marathon tragedy.
In 2012, Caesars gave more than $76 million in mandated and discretionary giving in the U.S. The company has been cited in multiple whitepapers for its social return on investment work.
