About Us

Caesars Entertainment Corporation is the world's most diversified casino entertainment company. Since its beginning in Reno, Nevada, more than 70 years ago, Caesars has grown through development of new resorts, expansions and acquisitions, and now operates casinos on four continents. The company's resorts operate primarily under the Harrah's®, Caesars® and Horseshoe® brand names. Caesars also owns the World Series of Poker® and the London Clubs International family of casinos.

Caesars Entertainment is focused on building loyalty and value with its guests through a unique combination of great service, excellent products, unsurpassed distribution, operational excellence and technology leadership. Caesars is committed to environmental sustainability and energy conservation and recognizes the importance of being a responsible steward of the environment.

Caesars Code of Commitment

Caesars Entertainment's Code of Commitment governs its relationships with its casino guests, employees and the communities where Caesars Entertainment's resorts are located.

Caesars also has guidelines for its advertising and marketing practices on a national, regional and local basis. With these two measures, the company sets a higher standard for accountability in its dealings with its employees, customers, and communities.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Caesars is committed to supporting the communities in which it is privileged to do business by donating to local charitable organizations and providing vital volunteer support. In 2011, Caesars employees volunteered more than 126,000 hours. Caesars and its philanthropic arm, the Caesars Foundation, together committed an average of $1.45 million a week to nonprofits around the world. In 2003, Caesars established the Caesars Foundation, a private foundation funded solely by resorts owned or managed by Caesars. In 11 years, the Foundation has committed more than $60 million to charitable organizations, including the Meals On Wheels Association of America, the American Association of Retired Persons, Rebuilding Together, Clean the World and Second Wind Dreams.

Caesars Entertainment believes that the problems facing the planet demand real action today. Preserving and protecting our planet is integral to being a responsible citizen. For Caesars, it is also essential to achieving our core business objectives. We feel so strongly about keeping sustainability at the forefront of how we do business that we formally added a fourth pillar to our Code of Commitment in 2010, reflecting an authentic, employee-driven passion for environmental sustainability. This commitment to responsible stewardship of the environment affirms that Caesars Entertainment will provide tangible low-carbon solutions to reduce water, energy and waste consumption at all Caesars resorts through its CodeGreen initiative.

Bea Boccalandro, President of Vera Works performed research examining the monetized social value of the 2011 US societal contributions of Caesars Entertainment (activities that support the local community, societal causes or the public good, and include mandated and discretionary giving to nonprofit community groups, employee volunteering, taxes and employee salaries and benefits) and, as a benchmark comparison, of US businesses, on average. In addition to the enterprise-wide study, Boccalandro also performed snapshot case studies on a couple of the company's high performing CSR resort casinos including Harrah's Rincon Hotel and Casino and Harrah's New Orleans Casino.
