CodeGreen Meetings & Events

We have a passion to protect our environment that we share with our guests so that they may make environmentally-conscious entertainment and lodging choices. Over the years, our guests have taken a greater interest in energy, water conservation, and recycling. Current trends reveal that environmental awareness will become even more important to more guests and their future entertainment choices. Helping guests make environmentally-favorable choices starts with the way we construct and design our properties, as well as the sustainable practices we advance.

Driven by our award-winning CodeGreen initiative, more than 200 of our world-class meetings and events planners have earned our CodeGreen Meetings and Events professional certification.

This team of experts can help guests plan a more sustainable meeting addressing areas of food and beverage, transportation, lodging and event management.

We have many innovative programs that allow our guests to help reduce impacts by simply doing business with us.

Teacher EXCHANGE ™ – At Caesars Entertainment properties in Las Vegas, we encourage our convention and meeting customers to join us in donating excess conference materials including notepaper and pens, display materials, folders and binders for the benefit of schoolchildren in Nevada. In 2012, we donated nearly 384,000 pounds of supplies benefitting Southern Nevada classrooms; effectively diverting the supplies from landfills. Additionally, Caesars Foundation and Caesars Entertainment have contributed nearly $1.5 million to support the Teacher EXCHANGE initiative.

Clean the World – All of Caesars Entertainment's U.S. properties collect and donate lightly used soap and bottled amenities to Clean the World to be recycled and distributed to people in need around the world. Since introducing the program, Caesars Entertainment has recycled an average of 50 tons of hygiene products a year and Caesars Foundation has donated $550,000 with part of the donation being used to open a Las Vegas-based recycling operations center that serves the entire west coast of the United States. In January 2014, Caesars employees joined Clean the World on a soap distribution trip to the Philippines.

Rebuilding Together – In collaboration with Caesars Foundation and Caesars Entertainment employees, multiple low-income families and elderly homeowners and veterans were able to receive much needed repairs and environmental upgrades to their homes to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

"Managing ethical, social, and environmental impacts is a strategic imperative for every company operating in today's global marketplace. Consumers increasingly expect that those impacts are being managed by the hotel or resort they are staying in. Robust and credible sustainability certification helps companies to manage their performance and communicate progress to guests. It is very encouraging that three Caesars Entertainment hotels have successfully gone through the Travelife certification progress, demonstrating that the company is taking sustainability seriously."
Sören Stöber, Travelife Business Manager
