The Atlantic City Ballet, founded in 1982 by ballerina Phyllis Papa, is comprised of classically-trained professional dancers from around the world.
The company has earned national acclaim and performs in theaters around the East Coast. The ballet’s repertoire includes classics like “Swan Lake” as well as innovative works such as Papa’s full-length “Carmen.”
There are two upcoming chances to catch an Atlantic City Ballet show at Caesars Atlantic City.
Enjoy “Carmen” on April 23 and “Swan Lake” on May 21.
“Carmen” tells the story of a beautiful gypsy girl, Carmen, the two lovers who vie for her affection and the tragic outcome of their tangled affair. The ballet is full of passion, emotion and anger.
“Swan Lake” is a classic ballet featuring the traditional score from Tchaikovsky.
It is a romantic story centered on the theme of the struggle between good and evil.
Papa’s full-length, four-act version combines some of her choreography with the original moves created for the ballet’s debut in 1877.
Don’t miss your chance to get Atlantic City Ballet tickets and see these two time-honored shows.
