Chris Botti’s journey into stardom started while he was still in high school. As a member of the McDonalds All American High School Jazz band, he played Carnegie Hall for the first time before he turned 18.
By the time he was 30, he was a regular touring trumpeter for Paul Simon. Other stars he has played with include Aretha Franklin, Bette Midler and Roger Daltrey. He also successfully collaborated with Sting as a featured soloist on the singer’s Brand New Day Tour.
The multimedia release of “Chris Botti In Boston” features the jazz trumpeter performing with The Boston Pops Orchestra and such musical luminaries as Yo-Yo Ma and Josh Groban.
The Grammy winner delights fans all over the world, as he will those in attendance at Circus Maximus Theater on Sept. 15.
