Luis Fonsi has crossed over. The Latin pop star records predominantly in Spanish, but he is now a mainstream star in the United States as well. Fonsi, who has done everything from open for Britney Spears to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, hit a new high in 2017.
With the release of single “Despacito” featuring Daddy Yankee, Fonsi became a mainstay on mainstream radio. The video currently has more than 2 billion views on YouTube. The song has become a smash in America and most Latin countries. The English language remix with Justin Bieber hit No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The bilingual singer-songwriter thrills his audiences with his array of skills. See him live at the Circus Maximus Theater on Sept. 30.
