When I first arrived at check in I spoke with a lady who assigned me a room that was a complete downgrade from the room I actually paid for. I reserved the premium room with the extra square ft, marble bathroom with the spa bath tub and separate shower. The room she assigned had none of those things. On top of that the room was extremely far away and on the opposite side of the casino and restaurants. Normally it wouldn’t be a big deal what tower I was located in but Ive been using a four point cane to get around which the check out lady could clearly see, so location was extremely important to me. I wish I can say her attitude was better than her service but she was very cold and unwelcoming. I asked her for directions to the tower, before I realized the room was a downgrade, and she just pointed and said it’s that way with no follow up directions. The whole time she used metal ice cube tongs to pass things back and fourth. I understand safety precautions during this difficult time but no other employee was using the tongs in any transaction that I could see. Hand sanitizer and gloves would of been a better option because she scratched my drivers license in the process. I came back to check in to get the correct room and this time I spoke with a different employee and it was such a better experience. She was very welcoming, apologized for recovering the wrong room and gave me the correct premium room that was close to the elevator with an amazing pool view. I’m not 100% sure why an employee of yours would intentionally give me a downgraded room with a bad location but with both me and my guest being African-American women with Black Lives Matter attire on, its hard to not to suggest this was racially motivated and a prejudice act. Despite the actions of one employee overall I did have a great experience. Austin from the bell desk went above and beyond to get me an electric scooter and was extremely helpful and friendly throughout my stay. I love this hotel but what your employee did was unacceptable and has put a block on me ever returning to your establishment.
