We were on a motorcycle trip with a group of friends this was a planned stay. I book in April as we knew our 15 year old daughter would not be allowed in the gaming floor we knew we would be in the room while our friends we gambling. Me and my wife are not gamblers and so we were cool with that. However we should of been able to enjoy dinner with them but no other than the crappy place next to check in no where on property for a family with under 21 to eat. I have been to multiple gaming facilities across the country and this is the first time you had to be 21 to eat a decent on site restaurant. We will not be back even without our daughter.
Terrible on all fronts!

We had been visiting family in Indiana and decided to return with a stopover at Caesar's Southern Indiana. We had visited years earlier when the casino was located on the Ohio River between IN and KY. The casino has been moved to a large, multi-space area on the second floor and is more convenient to the nondescript rooms. The more convenient location of the casino is the only positive about our experience. Hotel arrival area was bleak and dismal with no valet, grungy, scarred and marred entry hall, and ghost-town like hallway to the elevator. The elevator looked like something from a bad movie, with scratches and dirty panels.. This less than welcoming entry was matched perfectly by the obnoxious front desk staffer (a middle-aged male, whose name I don't recall) who was sullen and rude. When we asked about valet parking and bell/porter luggage assistance we were provided with a screed on how we were "lucky" he was at the front desk since for 2 years they had had no one at valet, bell-desk, or anywhere else. He used to be a valet but had just been called back to work the front desk in January. From all appearances he was working on being fired! Terrible attitude, downright rude responses, and no services of any kind within the hotel. People come there for one reason: to gamble. We made our way up to a king room. It was moderately clean, no bed-bugs (believe me, we checked) and only a slight smell of tobacco clinging from the smoking rooms of the past. Shower worked, toilet/wc worked and 2 sets of clean towels were provided. We slept reasonable well and could not wait to escape the ghost hotel the next day. Seriously, avoid this one at all costs unless you are coming to gamble in an old-school, smoke-filled casino with mostly older folks chain smoking and wasting money. The only good service or entertainment we experienced was at the casino bar, where we were able to interact with the friendly bartender while the poker machines gobbled our money. Slots were very tight and tables expensive for such a dead environment. If you are looking to have a fun experience gambling in southern Indiana save yourself a miserable experience by avoiding this Caesar's and instead go to French Lick Resort, much nicer there with a non-smoking casino and hotel! Sadly, this Caesar's has absolutely nothing to commend it and should be rehabilitated or put out of its misery.

The hotel room itself is nice. I like that they have both a shower and a tub. This is by no means a resort. You should not have to pay a resort fee. The lack of luggage carts is unconscionable and should be rectified immediately. No bell people and no luggage carts makes this hotel unusable for more than a day or two. Binion's is great but it used to be better when they had the steak Diane, and the bananas foster. The little eating areas in the casino are surprisingly good as well. I really like the casino and the layout. What I REALLY dislike is that the bars have a liquor gun dispenser, and it changes the flavor of the liquor. I ordered Bacardi (light) and it straight up tasted like bourbon. I had my husband return it and we watched her re-make it. It was a *little* better, but not much. It's like trying to get Sprite out of one of those multi-drink dispensers (The kind where all of the drinks come out of the same hose.) It's never going to taste right. I would pay extra to have my drinks poured out of a bottle. So, overall, this place is not as good as it used to be. I would still come back but only for a short time, OR I'd bring my own luggage cart. I'd also bring my own Bacardi, since their Bacardi now tastes like bourbon.

This Hotel should be stripped of it's branding as a Caesars facility. Finding the parking area for hotel guests was unnerving and very difficult - poorly marked and confusing directions. Plus the parking was in no way in any close proximity to the front desk to check in. After parking our car we searched and searched till we finally found the front desk to check in. We asked about a luggage cart to haul our luggage in but were told they did not have any!!! Also were told they did not have any valet services. Couldn't believe it...with the parking lot an excessively long walk requiring several elevators to access our room and the hotel being listed as a "Resort" we found it was a harrowing task to get all our luggage from our car to our room. After settling into our room we ventured out to go to the casino and found that it required two different elevators and a very long walk of about 15 minutes to get to the casino. The casino had their air conditioning on and set at a temperature so cold you could hang raw meat in it. and see your breath. The policy in allowing pets in the hotel needs to be revised as we were met with at least 5 other guests with their dogs on very long leashes that allowed the dogs to approach the other guests. Not a good thing at all as I am very apprehensive of dogs on leashes approaching me. We did eat at the grill in the casino and ordered hot dogs and a salad. The hot dogs were as tough as shoe leather. Not a place we will ever consider staying at again.

Terrible Experience with the Hospitality of the front desk. No frills service should be called out. If I knew that Room Service was not open full time, no guy to help us with our luggage or the rudeness when we arrived I would've never stayed. I should have left when I arrived. Binnon's was nice and they did a great job! Dealers and cocktail servers very nice.
