As Canada’s southernmost city, Windsor has a rich ethnic and cultural identity. For over 45 years the Multicultural Council of Windsor-Essex has been highlighting our culturally rich region with the promotion of diversity and equality.

One great example of this work is the Multicultural Council’s Harmony Ribbon Campaign, supported by Caesars Windsor Cares. This campaign raises awareness of cultural diversity and to promote a harmonious society through presentations, workshops and programs that promote diversity and cultural competency.

In recognition of this sponsorship, the Multicultural Council presented Caesars Windsor with the Herb Gray Harmony Award, established to recognize individuals and groups who have made an outstanding contribution to building a welcoming community for all.

“Caesars Windsor has been a visible and integral part of numerous local goodwill initiatives,” said Kathleen Thomas, Executive Director, Multicultural Council of Windsor-Essex. “They have demonstrated passion and dedication in fostering and promoting inclusion, equality and understanding in our community.”

“Together with the Council we are building a brighter, sustainable future for the region,” said Kevin Laforet, Regional President, Caesars Entertainment. “We are grateful for our ongoing partnership with the common goal of creating a diverse and welcoming environment.”
