Caesars Windsor is a founding member of the CGA and Laforet has been a CGA Board member and Chair of the Audit Committee since it’s inception. “I am honoured to be given the opportunity to play an expanded role with the CGA in educating and promoting gaming initiatives in Canada,” said Laforet. Named President and CEO of Caesars Windsor in June 2003, Laforet has been a member of the Executive team since the company formed in 1994. He has played a significant role as part of the property’s four successful transformations including the 2008 spectacular, multi-million dollar expansion, renovation and rebranding to the world-class award-winning Caesars brand property. It was also the first Canadian gaming facility to achieve Responsible Gaming accreditation through the Responsible Gambling Council’s new RG Check program.

The Canadian Gaming Association’s President and CEO William Rutsey said, “Kevin is a founding Director of CGA and is well respected in the Industry. We look forward to his contributions as we work on the important issues and opportunities for Canadian Gaming.”

Laforet’s own professional achievements include the ‘Gaming Professional of the Year’ award from the Casino Management Association in 2004, and the ‘Industry Leadership and Outstanding Contribution’ award from the CGA in 2007. Laforet is a graduate of the University of Windsor and holds CA and CPA designations. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Windsor/Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce and for the Windsor International Airport (YQG). He has served as a member of the Board of Governors for the University of Windsor and the Board of Directors for the United Way of Windsor-Essex County.
