New Musical Celebrates Nation’s Greatest Artists in: OH CANADA What A Feeling! Part One

Windsor, ON – Celebrate some of the greatest artists in Canadian history with OH CANADA What a Feeling! Part One presented by Annerin Productions. This live musical celebration will perform its debut run at Caesars Windsor’s Colosseum for back to back shows on Wednesday, August 5 and Thursday, August 6 both at 8 pm. The rousing, multimedia theatrical production honours our northern nation’s remarkable musical legacy, which shines brightly at home but has also put the country in the spotlight on the international stage. Against a backdrop of historical and musical imagery, which brings the various eras alive, the stage resounds with the performances of the songs which became the soundtrack of our lives and times.

OH CANADA What A Feeling! – Part One was inspired by the 2014 book by Martin Melhuish. The theatrical production features a live band and tribute singers, who spirit the audience away on an exciting inspirational and educational journey saluting our Canadian music legends including Bryan Adams, Rush, Neil Young, The Guess Who, Paul Anka and many more. The cast features some of the best and brightest new Canadian performers, making OH CANADA What a Feeling! the most patriotic show of the year! This will be the debut performance of this exciting musical odyssey before it premieres later in August for its residency at Toronto’s Princess of Wales Theatre. This is your opportunity to see it first! Tickets start at $15 Canadian and go on sale at noon on Friday, June 5.

Ticket purchases can be made through caesarswindsor.com, ticketmaster.ca or at the Box Office located in the main casino building on the second floor, open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and on additional show days. Non-show days from noon to 8 pm and on show days open until midnight. Guests must be 19 years of age or older to attend concerts and to enter the casino and all other outlets. Prices listed do not include applicable taxes and fees.

About Martin Melhuish

Martin Melhuish is the author of Oh What A Feeling: A Vital History of Canadian Music: The Next Generation (Fox Books), which inspired this production. As part of an international career, he has written and produced hundreds of hours of TV and syndicated radio on Canadian music including the TV documentary Tower of Song: An Epic Story of Canada and Its Music (CBC/PBS) and the eight-part series Four Strong Winds: A Celebration of Canadian Singer/Songwriters (Corus). A Gemini Award-nominated writer in TV, Melhuish is the author of more than a dozen books on music-related subjects – many of them on Canadian music history – including authorized bios on Supertramp and Bachman-Turner Overdrive. He is a past Canadian editor of a number of U.S. publications, including Billboard, and a former Managing Editor of the Canadian music trade magazine, The Record.

Scott Christensen is the production and creative director at Annerin Productions. With acclaimed Canadian musician/producer Russell Broom, he is currently working to cast the best and brightest new Canadian performers who, in words and music, will pay tribute to Canada's rich musical history.
