For immediate release: October 26, 2015

Windsor, ON – Today, The S’Aints band performed an exclusive, live sneak peek set to announce their 2015 “Sleighing Hunger” All-Ages Charity concert at The Colosseum on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 8 pm. Presented by St. Clair College and Caesars Windsor, this year’s family holiday show will feature even more of what audiences loved in their inaugural Colosseum concert. The set-list will include classic holiday favourites with an edgy rock sound, synonymous with the talents of the S’Aints band, the return of The Diplomats drumline and the new addition of a talented choir made up of St. Clair College Music Theatre Arts students.

This will be the 5th time the S’Aints have performed a holiday show for charity and the 2nd year at Caesars Windsor. Jeff Burrows, a founding member of the S’Aints and also drummer and songwriter of globally successful band The Tea Party, said, “Performing with such a great band at The Colosseum will once again be an epic event. Each year we ramp it up another notch and this year is no exception. Bringing back The Diplomats Drum Line for an extra special set and including St. Clair College students in our choir will elevate this show to heights that have yet been heard”.

The S’Aints features some of the finest musicians in the area, renowned locally and worldwide. They include: Jody Raffoul (lead singer), Jeff Burrows (drums), Garret Bielaniec (lead guitar), Kelly Authier (Vocals & Keys), Mr. Chill Kelly Hoppe (Harp & Sax), David Cyrenne (Bass) and Wes Buckley (Vocals & Guitar). More information can be found at www.sleighinghunger.com.

Once again, proceeds from the sale of concert tickets and “Holiday Harvest” CDs (sponsored by Blackburn Radio), will benefit area foodbanks: The Unemployed Help Centre, The Downtown Mission and Outreach for Hunger in Chatham, as well as St. Clair College.

Ron Seguin, Vice President of International Relations, Training & Campus Development said, “St. Clair College values its partnership with Caesars Windsor working on this community fundraiser. Since partnering, the concert has increased its audience by 3,000 people. This enables the campaign to reach a wider audience, subsequently benefitting our local charities.”

Tim Trombley, Director of Entertainment at Caesars Windsor, agreed, “We are proud to once again provide a world-class venue to put on another incredible concert and showcase these talented musicians. It carries on our company’s annual Corporate Giving tradition of ensuring that the holidays are joyful for all, including those most in need by donating to area foodbanks and charities.”

Brenda LeClair, Executive Director of the Outreach for Hunger in Chatham, said, “We are thrilled to be a recipient of this year’s benefit concert. Chatham Kent continues to see a number of our families struggling daily to put nutritional meals on their dinner table. This support will assist us in meeting that need and making the dinner table of many much brighter this holiday season.”

A big thanks goes out to media sponsors AM 800 and The Windsor Star!
