Caesars Windsor to Match Employees’ Donations to Fort McMurray Fire Relief

Book A Room

For immediate release: May 10, 2016

Windsor, ON – In response to the devastating wildfires in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Caesars Windsor will match employee donations, up to $5,000, with funds going directly to the Canadian Red Cross Alberta Fires Appeal.  Donations will provide relief for those affected in the form of emergency food, clothing, shelter, personal services, and other necessities to help assist with recovery and resiliency.

Since May 1, a massive wildfire has threatened a dozen communities in the area resulting in a mandatory evacuation of 70,000 Fort McMurray residents to leave their homes in search of safety. This is the largest fire-related evacuation in the province’s history.

“Along with the rest of the country, our thoughts are with those who have been affected by this devastating situation,” said Kevin Laforet, Caesars Regional President. “We are proud to come together with our employees to support the relief efforts of the Canadian Red Cross and are committed to helping the community of Fort McMurray.”
