Hiatus House Receives $5,000 Donation for Parenting ProgramBook A Room
For immediate release: May 3, 2016
Windsor, ON – Families attending Caesars Windsor’s world-class annual Mother’s Day brunch will receive a special gift this year, knowing a contribution has been made to Hiatus House in honour of their mom on May 8.
The $5,000 donation will go towards Hiatus House’s Mother in Mind program. This program, developed by the Child Development Institute, is a 10 week attachment-informed, relationship-based group model to enhance parenting skills, strengthen parent-child relationships and reduce parenting stress for mothers who have experienced abuse or trauma.
“Caesars Windsor is pleased to partner with Hiatus House and honour mothers this Mother’s Day to support their Mothers in Mind program,” said Susanne Tomkins, Public & Community Relations Specialist. “It is our second year supporting this program to assist many local moms who need it most.”
Caesars Windsor has partnered with Hiatus House for the last three years in support of their Shine the Light on Woman Abuse Campaign. Caesars Windsor has changed their exterior lights to purple in November and placed donation boxes at restaurant outlets to raise awareness to end violence against women. Hiatus House presented Caesars Windsor with its Program and Capital Project Award in 2015.
