Celebrating Earth Month: Caesars Windsor offers FREE public drop off for E-Waste Collection April 12 & 13
For immediate release: April 3, 2017
Windsor, ON – In honour of Earth Month, Caesars Windsor, in cooperation with Recycling Makes Cents, is offering a convenient, free E-Waste Collection public drop off site. The public is invited to drop off their unwanted electronics, big or small, in the gated parking lot located at 250 Windsor Ave., across from The Colosseum from 8 am – 6 pm on Wednesday, April 12 and Thursday, April 13. Vehicles can drive through, entering through the Chatham Street gate, just west of McDougall Ave. Walk-ups are also welcome.
Large bins provided by Recycling Makes Cents, a local community and industrial recycling centre, will accommodate any size electronic device including amplifiers, cameras, cell phones, computers, monitors, speakers, scanners, printers, tuners, televisions and more. These electronics will be recycled and diverted from landfills.
Throughout Earth Month, Caesars will continue to support green initiatives by participating in a Goodwill Industries clothing drive, Little River and Glengarry area clean-ups and a community tree planting on Earth Day. Additionally, Caesars will host a CodeGreen Expo for customers and employees and will feature three Hybrid Cars in their monthly draw. “Earth Month is an opportunity for Caesars to highlight the innovative ways we are taking to have a positive impact in our community,” said Kelly Wolfe Gregoire, Vice-President, Human Resources.
Every year, Caesars Windsor and its employees engage in green programs and events to celebrate Earth Month as part of their environmental commitment with the following outcomes:
- Through the Clean the World program Caesars Windsor has recycled over 13,075 pounds of soap, providing over 4,000 hygiene kits to local non-profit organizations in the last four years. For more information visit cleantheworld.org.

- Recycled over 8,700 pallets, the equivalent of 460,000 pounds of wood
