Caesars Windsor wins three awards in TWEPI’s annual Best of Windsor-Essex

For immediate release: March 29, 2017

Windsor, ON – Caesars Windsor was presented with “Best Hotel”, “Best Gaming Experience” and “Best Entertainment Venue” in Windsor-Essex by Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island (TWEPI) during their annual Best of Windsor-Essex Awards held on Wednesday, March 29. A total of 43 awards were announced. The online survey invites residents, visitors and travelers to select their favourites in a variety of categories. This year, they received feedback from 7,000 individuals.

Mary Riley, Vice President of Marketing, Caesars Windsor, proudly accepted the awards on behalf of the property. She said, “Caesars Windsor is honoured to be voted the best by our visitors and residents of Windsor-Essex. We thank the survey participants for recognizing our Four Diamond hotel and our top selling Colosseum. It’s not only our premium amenities we are proud of, it’s also our dedicated, hardworking employees and their commitment to the Caesars brand promise.”

Caesars Windsor’s hotel is the only Four Diamond downtown Windsor hotel with over 750 masterfully-appointed guestrooms in two towers overlooking the best riverfront view in Windsor and Detroit.

The Colosseum is the largest venue of its kind among the nearly 40 Caesars Entertainment properties, boasting 5,000-seats, high-definition video, state-of-the-art sound and lighting, showcasing exciting international headline concert performers from Country to Rock ‘n’ Roll, as well as comedy and variety acts. In 2016 Tom Jones, Dolly Parton, Aretha Franklin and Jeff Dunham were a few of the sold out shows held in The Colosseum.

“These awards celebrate the best of what we have in our region,” said Gordon Orr, Chief Executive Office, TWEPI.  “We heard from our community about their favourite places to go and things to do right here in Windsor-Essex County.”
