Juno-winning rock band Walk Off The Earth begins World Tour at The Colosseum with an ALL AGES show on February 22Book A Room
For immediate release: November 24, 2017
Windsor, ON – Hot off their new single release “Nomad”, platinum-selling, Canadian rock band Walk Off The Earth is kicking off their World Tour at Caesars Windsor on Thursday, February 22 at 8 pm for an ALL AGES show.
Written by the platinum-selling team of Gianni Luminati Nicassio, Sarah Blackwood, Ryan Marshall and co-producer Thomas “Tawgs” Salter, “NOMAD” is a buoyant love song featuring some spicy lyrics that once again delivers on the wide-ranging style the band’s audiences have grown accustomed to.
Earlier this week, Walk off the Earth released a holiday album titled Holiday Beard Ballads, Vol. 1 featuring band member Mike “Beard Guy” Taylor’s piano covers of popular holiday songs. See below for track listing. Listen and download “NOMAD” and Holiday Beard Ballads now.
“ ‘NOMAD’ is a bit of a departure from the typical Walk off the Earth sound,” said band founder Nicassio. “We are constantly working with new jams, instruments and drum sounds. Nomad is an example of what happens when you lock us in a studio for a couple days with strobe lights and a pulsating beat.”
Blackwood added, “When they finally let us out, we had this beautiful love song that felt both timely and worldly.”
Adding to Walk Off The Earth’s recently announced headlining tour across the United States, the band are thrilled to announce additional dates that will take them across Canada. Newly announced shows include stops in Moncton, NB and Windsor, ON. Additional dates in Canada and a full European tour will be announced in the coming weeks.
Walk Off The Earth is an unconventional, multi-talented five-piece musical phenomenon that is currently taking the world by storm. Based in Burlington, Ontario, their brilliant five-people-playing-one-guitar interpretation of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” exploded on YouTube garnering well over 35 million views in less than 2 weeks. Their latest hit, “Fire In My Soul” was certified gold in Canada and was released via Universal Music Canada. The band most recently did a 30-day world tour making stops in North America, Europe and Australia. They released a self-produced short film titled Taekwondo and accompanying EP titled Taekwondo: The Soundtrack. In their lighthearted nature, the band tells the story of a young romantic (Nicassio) in pursuit of the girl of his dreams (Blackwood) while learning the skills of self-defense in preparation for a showdown with ninjas. Both the short film and EP were produced by Walk Off The Earth and featured all five band members, Gianni Luminati Nicassio, Sarah Blackwood, Ryan Marshall, Joel Cassady and Mike “Beard Guy” Taylor.
