Blues prodigy 18-year old Quinn Sullivan will be opening for Blues legend and master guitarist Buddy Guy performing at The Colosseum on Wednesday, October 3 at 8pm.
Quinn and Buddy met a decade ago when at only seven years old, the young musical virtuoso was called on stage at a Buddy Guy show to demonstrate his unbelievable singing and guitar skills. Trading lick for lick, Quinn was able to match the Legend’s ability, impressing him with his natural talent. Quinn has described that first encounter as ‘magical’. Since then, he has been taken under Buddy’s wing, remaining his protégé to this day and joining him on tour throughout his career. Some of their duos, can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4xVkTr01l0 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aJIssPqsYo
Sullivan first discovered his natural musical affinity and talent, at the age of three when he first picked up a toy guitar. Playing by ear, he picked up the Blues easily before ever learning how to read music. He later caught the eye of talk show host Ellen Degeneres, performing on her show and was soon on stages of major festivals and concerts with some of the biggest names in music. Quinn continues to make his own mark in the industry playing with other legends and performing around the world. He recently released his third studio album, Midnight Highway. Writing three of the stand-out tracks himself, Quinn’s dedication and passion for the craft is apparent. For more information about Quinn Sullivan, visit http://www.quinnsullivanmusic.com.
