Veterans Programs

SALUTE

SALUTE is one of six affinity groups called Business Impact Groups (BIGs) within Caesars Entertainment that promote diversity and inclusion of Caesars’ employees and community partners.  SALUTE actively seeks to bring together veteran employees and supporters who embrace the core values of duty, honor, and selfless service.  We come together around common issues, experiences and interests with the intention of strengthening our leadership, education, business exposure and support network.

SALUTE engages our network through volunteering and idea-sharing to give back to our communities, meet other veterans, their families, and celebrate and honor key military dates throughout the year.  SALUTE organizes fundraisers, donation drives, job fairs, employment workshops, and holiday events, among other activities.

Some recent SALUTE highlights include:

  • In 2019, the World Series of Poker held a Salute to Warriors tournament to benefit the United Services Organization (USO), which has provided live entertainment and other services for active military for over 75 years, and other military-related charities
  • Caesars participated in the Veteran Initiative Summit in Washington DC to take part in a national conversation around veteran challenges, opportunities, sourcing, hiring, integration, development and retention, and hiring heroes
  • Recognitions include: USO Appreciation Award, Veteran Action Group Appreciation Award, 313th Military Police Cert of Appreciation, United State Navy Reserve Outstanding Employer Support, Featured employer in Valor Magazine

Recruiting Veterans

Veterans’ sense of duty and their ability to analyze, decide, communicate and motivate make them ideal employees. Like the U.S. Military, Caesars Entertainment is also a large, complex and diversified organization. The company actively seeks qualified candidates through veteran networking events and job fairs, many of which are hosted at Caesars Entertainment properties.

Job Fairs

Caesars Entertainment is proud to attend various veteran job fairs hosted by community partners and local military bases. A number of these events are hosted at Caesars Entertainment properties, where veterans can see for themselves where they may fit into our ever-growing empire. Qualified candidates are often interviewed and hired on the spot at job fairs.

Enlisting Heroes

Enlisting Heroes, our company-wide veteran hiring initiative, is not just the right thing to do, it is also the smart thing to do. Enlisting Heroes seeks to harness the skills and aptitudes veterans acquire throughout their military career and apply them to the business world. At Caesars Entertainment, there is no shortage of examples of veterans transitioning from successful careers in the military to successful careers in the gaming industry in a range of functions from property management, logistics, human resources, and more.

All Caesars Entertainment properties remain committed to aiding our nation’s veterans through employment opportunities and community outreach activities. In total, there have been more than 280 activities across the country and more than 2,000 veterans hired since the program’s launch in 2013. The company is proud to have donated approximately $1 million dollars towards veterans organizations. Our employees have also volunteered more than 4,000 hours in aiding community.
