Caesars Entertainment Turns Off Lights for Earth Hour

Can you go without your lights for one hour?

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) established Earth Hour to give a voice to nature and inspire people and organizations to take action.

Since 2009, Caesars Entertainment has participated in Earth Hour. This year, 29 properties across the enterprise participated in Earth Hour by turning off non-essential lights, including the iconic Las Vegas Strip.

According to the WWF, “individuals, businesses and cities in 188 countries and territories worldwide” participated in the movement.

At Caesars Entertainment, we are committed to preserving the earth. It is part of our Corporate Code of Commitment and represents our promise to preserve the planet for current and future generations.

We were the first to publicly commit to climate change goals. One hundred percent of our U.S. hotel properties are Green Key eco-rated, 41 percent of waste was diverted from landfills in 2017, and we’ve reduced absolute greenhouse gas emissions since 2011.
