Clean the World Foundation

by Margaret George

What happens to the used soap and bottled amenities (shampoo, conditioner) when you check out of your hotel? That question is responsible for sparking a hygiene revolution fueled by a partnership with Clean the World and Caesars Entertainment and its philanthropic arm, Caesars Foundation.

On Feb. 29, Clean the World Foundation, a nonprofit focused on saving lives by providing recycled hotel soap and hygiene education to those in need, hosted a “green” ribbon-cutting event for its newest Recycling Operations Center in Las Vegas that is serving the western U.S. The event showcased thousands of pounds of donated soap from participating resort casinos showing the sheer volume that the recycling center has begun processing. Guests were treated to a tour and demonstration of the bar soap recycling process.
