The first sports book in Indiana history opened its doors to the public on Labor Day weekend.
It was the latest Caesars branded sports book to open since states were authorized to legalize and regulate sports betting last year.
Hundreds of eager guests waited in line to place their wagers at the Winner’s Circle Race Sports Pub inside the Indiana Grand Racing & Casino shortly after Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb placed the first official wager the afternoon of Sept. 1.
Winner’s Circle Race Sports Pub is the second largest sports book under the Caesars Entertainment portfolio with the iconic Caesars Palace being the largest.
The grand opening comes just one month after the Oneida Indian Nation announced its partnership with Caesars Entertainment to open multiple sports books branded as “The Lounge at Caesars Sports.” The first sports book opened inside the Turning Stone Resort Casino on Aug. 1.
Caesars branded sports books exist in seven states including Nevada, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Iowa, Indiana and New York.
The future sports book openings of AC Sports Book, The Book at Horseshoe Southern Indiana and The Book at Hoosier Park will bring the total number of Caesars operated sports books to 29 locations across the U.S.
