Try the drinks from the CodeGreen Cocktail Challenge

Is there a better way to help the environment than trying delicious sustainably sourced cocktails?

During Caesars Entertainment’s CodeGreen Cocktail Challenge bartenders and chefs across the enterprise concoct eco-friendly drinks. This year, the competition led team members to create drinks with Altos Tequila and other sustainably sourced ingredients.

The cocktail challenge is part of a larger competition: the CodeGreen Challenge, which encourages Caesars Entertainment team members to get involved in their communities and make a difference in global conservation.

The winners of the challenge will be announced at a later date but until then you can enjoy cocktails at various Caesars Entertainment Properties.

Here’s a look at the cocktails and ingredients to make it yourself!

The Sweet Buzz cocktail

The Sweet Buzz

Available at on the Harrah's Ak-Chin casino floor and Lounge Bar. It is made with Alto Plata Tequila and Honey Sour made from locally sourced honey and lemons.

Thirsty Arandano

The Thirsty Arandano is available at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City at all food and beverage outlets at Harrah's, Caesars, Bally's, and Atlantic City. Here's how you can make it: Muddled fresh blueberries, add ice into a shaker and all ingredients:2 oz Altos Tequila Plata, 1/2 oz Chambord, 1/2 oz orange liqueur, 1/2 lime juice, 1/2 agave syrup, shake well. Strain into sugar rimmed rocks glass full with ice and add a splash of sprite soda. Garnish with a lime wheel.

Boardwalk Berries

The Boardwalk Berries is available at the Boardwalk Saloon at Bally's Atlantic City. Here's how you can make it: Muddle 4-6 (of each) cranberries and blueberries in the bottom of a shaker.Build cocktail with 1 ½ oz Altos Plata, ½ oz banana liqueur and 2 oz coconut water (strained) over ice in a shaker.Fill with club soda.Top with a splash of pineapple juice.

The Altos Attitude is available at the Bally's Las Vegas at Sully's, the casino and lobby bars. Here's how you can make it:Combine 1 oz. Altos Plata tequila, 1/2 oz. St-Germain elderflower liqueur, 1 oz. fresh lime juice,5 mint leaves, 5 jalapeno slices, a splash of Sierra Mist and garnish with a lime wedge.

This cocktail from Caesars Atlantic City is available at Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill. Here is how you can make it yourself:Combine 1 ½ oz Altos Reposado, 2 ½ oz carrot juice, ¾ oz fresh lemon juice, 1 ¼ oz Rosemary/Lavender Simple Syrup. Serve strained into a glass and garnish with 1 piece of fresh rosemary.

The Caesars CodeGreen Cocktail is available at Cosmos, Bacchas, and The House. Here is how you can make this cocktail: Combine 1/2 oz Olmeca, 1/2 oz Wolfhead Grapefruit Vodka, 1/2 oz McGuiness Blue Curacao and top with orange juice. Blue Curacao and orange juice turn the drink green. Going green never tasted so good.

Here's how you can make it: Combine 1oz Altos Plata Tequila, 1/4 oz Disaronno, 1/4 oz Grand Marnier and a splash of orange juice, 7-Up, sour mix, and lime juice to fill the glass. Place colored sugar on the rim and garnish with a slice of orange and a cherry.

The Tahoe Snow Storm is available at Harvey's Lake Tahoe at the TaCo. Cantina and Restaurant. Here's how you can make it: Blend: 1 1/2 ounce Olmeca Altos Plata Tequila with pina colada mix.Fill the bottom of the glass with 1-ounce strawberry puree and 1/4 ounce Chambord. Pour in pina colada and blend. Garnish with coconut honey rim and fresh California strawberry.

The Tahoe Paloma Cocktail is available at Harvey's Lake Tahoe on all casino floor bars. Here's how you can make it: Combine 1 oz. Olmeca Altos Plata 100% Agave Tequila, 1/2 oz. Blue Curacao, 1/2 oz. Agave Nectar, soda water, a splash of grapefruit juice, and two limes. Shake, strain and pour in a glass with a salted rim.

Here's how you can make it:Combine 1 1/2 oz Altos Plato, Pamplemousse, 1/2 oz grapefruit liqueur, 1/4 oz lime juice, 1/2 oz pink grapefruit juice, 1/2 oz local honey, a splash of lemon/lime soda. Shake in a tin with ice. double strain and serve with a dehydrated grapefruit for garnishment.
