North Kansas City, MO. (May 28, 2020) – Today, Harrah’s Kansas City announced that it will resume gaming operations at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 1 in accordance with directives from the Missouri Gaming Commission, regulatory approval.

Harrah’s Kansas City will operate at 50% capacity, in accordance with the Phase 2, Step Two of the Recovery Plan created by the Clay County Public Health Center. Slot machine banks will be arranged to allow for physical distancing, and table games will be offered with limited seating. Certain amenities including Poker, The Buffet and the Laurel Lounge will remain closed until further notice and are planned to reopen in phases that are in-line with consumer demand and pursuant to guidance provided by public health authorities. Harrah’s Kansas City is focused on the well-being of team members, guests and our community, and is striving to create an enjoyable environment that emphasizes sanitization and physical distancing practices. Harrah’s Kansas City will implement new health and safety protocols previously announced by Caesars Entertainment Corporation (“Caesars Entertainment”), which enhance its existing plans and practices in these areas.

Among the enhanced health and safety protocols include more frequent cleaning and sanitization. Additionally, team member screenings will be conducted as will daily temperature checks. Team members will be required to wear masks, which will be provided by Harrah’s Kansas City. Guests will be provided masks and will be strongly encouraged to wear them throughout their visit.
