Today, the Illinois Gaming Board ordered the state’s 10 casinos, including Harrah’s Joliet, to suspend gambling operations for 14 days, beginning at 12:00 AM on Monday, March 16, 2020.
The decision was made out of concern for the public health. To be clear, there have been no reported cases of COVID-19 at Harrah’s Joliet to date. However, it will close to the public beginning Monday.
Harrah’s Joliet looks forward to working with the Illinois Gaming Board to effectuate a smooth closing process on Monday, and will reopen as soon as the Illinois Gaming Board determines it is appropriate to do so.
