Love the Flamingo! Stayed in a newly renovated deluxe room. It was beautiful and it had a perfect view of the Strip. Only one "complaint" - too many people trying to give you "free" breakfast or comps - only to try and sell you a vacation rental. Couldn't get off the elevator without one of them approaching us.

We're staying at the Flamingo for the first time. I booked this hotel because of its great location and supposedly great pools. Unfortunately our experience has been awful. On our first day we went to the Go pool around noon and it was chaos, people sitting on towels on every inch of pavement, you could hardly walk thru. We switched to the Beach Club pool and found chairs easily but there were kids diving and kicking and splashing everywhere, it was miserable to be in the water. Lifeguards and staff did nothing. On our second day my husband was there at 9am right when Go pool opened but so was every other adult guest so now we are the towels on pavement people. Our room is fine, not bad but nothing special. With so many other choices and pool experience being important to me, I'll never stay here again.

I've stayed at Flamingo at least a dozen times in the past several years and it's always a pleasure. The property is clean, rooms are comfortable, and the staff is exceptional, both in the hotel and casino. Particularly in the casino, there is very little turnover year to year and I see familiar faces at every visit. This past stay, I was in the newly renovated Flamingo rooms (via the spa elevators) and it was wonderful - very comfortable and stylishly appointed. I particularly appreciate the bright daylight bulbs around the bathroom mirror (as someone who likes applying makeup and often struggles with hotel lighting). I've also stayed in the rooms at the casino/lobby elevators (I think the "Go" rooms?) and have enjoyed those. I had a facial at the spa on this trip. I loved the facial services. The waiting area isn't as relaxing as other spas I've been at. It's quite close to the check-in desk so you can hear conversations and other guests being checked in. Otherwise the facilities were impressive and my facial was excellent (I had the "perk" facial). I like that the monorail is not difficult to find within the property (some properties make you wind through to some deep dark back corner to find the monorail) and the location on the strip is perfect - lots of easily walkable food nearby, and you're centrally located to popular things to do on the strip (Bellagio fountains, Miracle Mile shops, etc). My default when going to Vegas is to stay at Flamingo. I'm comfortable there even as a solo female traveler and it suits me well both for work and pleasure trips. It's also my favorite poker room - a very relaxed but professional vibe. Fun and not pretentious. I'd love to see a 4/8 half kill LHE game there :)
Great poker tournaments for skilled and unskilled players.

I've only played poker with a few friends, on about 10 different occasions. My first time playing poker in a casino, I was a bit intimidated, but I had read that the Flamingo was a good place to start out. It was. Dealers, and other players were helpful and supportive. Dealers were instructive, yet patient for any mistakes. Also very friendly... as were the waitresses and other staff. I would highly recommend the Flamingo Casino poker tournaments!
