I booked my trip, and specifically the Flamingo, for the sole purpose of relaxing at the pool. I signed up for the pool's Virtual Queue at 10:20am on the first morning of my trip, and when I asked a staff member approximately how long the wait would be for a party of one, I was told that there was no way to tell and I would just have to wait it out. After two hours of no updates, I once again returned to the pool and asked again if there was an approximate wait time I could expect. I was told there was no way to check and I would just have to wait at the hotel because I would only have 10 minutes to return to the pool once I was notified that a spot was open, or I would forfeit that spot. I spent the bulk of the day sitting in my room, and around 5:30pm, I was finally notified that I would not be granted entry to the pool that day and to try again the next day.I signed up for the Virtual Queue at exactly 10:00am on Saturday, July 25th. The same scenario played out - I heard nothing all day until around 5:30pm when I was notified that I would not be given entry to the pool that day. The Flamingo staff makes no effort to let you know your place "in place". No updates are sent. There is zero communication throughout the day.The only way to guarantee a spot is to spend $150 for a reserved chair. This trip was a complete waste of money, especially since they are still charging full price for the room, in addition to the $42/day Resort Fee. I requested a refund for my Resort Fee, and was told that the fee covered the WiFi and the gym, and would not be refunded. Don't waste your money, as the staff here does not care about handling the pool access in a way that is transparent and equitable to their guests.

Decided to hit the Flamingo for a few days of gambling, dining and pool. Got plenty of gambling done, the pool is at limited capacity, for 2 days got on wait list for just entrance into pool, no luck there, photos below of empty pool area. Tried Bugsy's Steakhouse and was very disappointed....supposed to be high end ??The cherry on top was having to pay 3 days "Resort fee's" for a pool I couldn't use and non-existent housekeeping.

We have been going to Vegas annually, over the last 25 years (5 college friends). We typically stay at the Flamingo Hotel, and enjoy our stay. This last time was terrible. I understand changes/restrictions due to Covid, but there appeared to be an intentional lack of communication, regarding the services available. First of all they could not provide us with our adjoining rooms, which we have previously received. We did not know this until check-in. It would have been nice to know upfront, to give us options. Secondly, we were told that the adult pool was open, they did not tell us that we needed to reserve a spot to get in the pool. So when we went down to the pool, they would not let us in, unless we spent $450 on a day bed/food/beverages. Apparently if you paid the money, they would make room for you. So day two, we went on-line and put our names on a list to get in the pool, as instructed. On day two, apparently our reservation did not go through, and we were not on the list, even though we showed them from our cell phone, that we followed the protocol, they would not let us in the adult pool, but offered us entry to the small family pool, which was packed with families/kids, and had limited bar service. I do understand that things have changed due to Covid, and we expected restrictions, but I believe the Flamingo intentionally mislead us, so we would stay there. I will not be going back to the Flamingo.
