Upon entering the room there was a big red tag on the door stating the room had been cleaned and sanitized. It was the dirtiest room I’ve ever stayed in Atlantic City. So much so that I didn’t even want to touch the lamp switch on the nightstand. The dirt and dust on it was so bad it hadn’t been cleaned in months. In addition to the lack of cleanliness the bathroom ceiling was peeling a lot it looked like one of the apartments they condemn on the news. the shower tiles had black mold and the base of the shower was rusty. The rugs were so dirty I did not walk around without something on my feet. Could not leave there quick enough . Will never go back
Nice room, bathroom unsafe.

We had a trip to Harrah's, April 11-14 2021. The room itself, (1444 Ocean Tower), was nice, (although in a corner where you mainly seen roof tops, buildings, and had to look around at a sharp angle to see the ocean). My main concern was in the bathroom, which was (it appeared) recently updated. Well, I don't know who approved these updates, but it surely wasn't anyone that had a building background or the safety of the older Casino players in mind. The lighting in the bathroom was terrible, the light above the sink doesn't give off enough light to shave decently by. The standup shower does not have a sliding door. It has 1-glass panel that is stationary (attached) at the showerhead and shower control end of the shower, and you have to actually get in the shower to turn on the water and adjust from the other end, which is left open. (quite dangerous for the older casino player, especially since there are NO grab bars whatsoever in the shower. This is a terrible and unsafe design of the bathroom, and I think the cost of a sliding door and grab bars at and in the shower would be cheaper then the lawsuits from the elderly falling in the shower that are sadly bound to occur.

My only issue is I wish there would have been more places to eat. On Monday night we had limited options and what was available was booked or had a long wait for take out. I requested a room in the waterfront and I got one in coastal, I did request and early check in when I made the reservation informing them I would be coming over on the ferry and would be there around noon. With 40+ floors in waterfront I don’t believe that not a single room was ready on a Sunday. The room in coastal was on but definitely not what I wanted or was expecting. I’ve been to Harrahs multiple times to either play and or stay and after this I don’t know if we will be coming back.
Ew. Stay elsewhere.

Your TL:DR version is: skip this place, it’s gross.Stayed here with my kids for a dance convention, so keep in mind this is a review as a parent, not a party goer. But, ewwwwwww. Our room in the Waterfront Tower was grimy, gross, and super stinky. I’d booked a non-smoking room and it was clear that rule hadn’t ever been followed. The stench of smoke (cigarette, cigar, marijuana) was pervasive, not just in our room but the entire hotel. And look, I’m not generally uptight about these things, but you could easily get a contact high just sitting in our room or walking through the hallways. Kid-friendly this place is not. Plus the shower stunk of urine. 🤮Despite a friendly phone call to housekeeping asking them to clean our room, they did not once during our entire stay. They did drop off a load of towels (but didn’t take used ones away) and left a pile of garbage bags - I guess so we could take out our own trash? The black mold on the ceiling was the icing on the birthday cake no one wants. The view was lovely, if you like the gray industrial vibe. We were digging it.The WiFi is a disaster, only worked half the time (if that) and the connection is super slow. But yet it’s pretty pricey! Don’t count on making any phone calls either, it’s a cell service black hole. Cleanest places in the whole “resort”: convention center bathrooms and parking garage hallways. Go figure. Everything at this “resort” seems rundown and tired, overlooked and unseen. It needs a lot of attention. I’m not going to point out every single broken or dirty thing there, but know the list is long. There are plenty of other hotels one could stay at in AC, I suggest checking out one of those. (Nothing in this review is Covid related either, FYI! Half of their stores and restaurants are closed due to Covid precautions [which makes waits at the others often an hour or longer]. They take temps any time you come into the property, and all staff is masked. I saw no social distancing of any kind, although the floors were labeled requesting it. They seem to be doing alright with their Covid precautions, I’d turn some attention to regular operations now if it were me.)Oh and also, they emailed and asked for my review. So, here you go! Don't ask if you don't want to know ;-)
