I have been coming to Harrah’s for years, spending quite a bit of money gambling each time I come but have never stayed at the hotel and have always wanted to, but have never had the time to get away. After one of the most difficult weeks of my life, I decided I needed a little bit of a break! Pulling in to the hotel practically in tears because of the day I had, I was beyond relieved to be pulling in to the hotel and could not wait to take a shower and have a glass ofWine and be able to start to breathe again, as I was on the verge of being just DONE with it all, amidst COVID-19 issues and life just throwing me one hard blow after another. This was my saving grace as silly as it may seem. I needed a break. Well, that idea all ended quickly and I am writing this review as I am leaving because these piece of crap, white trash people don’t know how to treat a loyal customer. They made me wait in line for 30 mins as they serviced everyone else coming up but me. Not that big of a deal but I was just exhausted from the long drive. Then we go through the whole process and my card declines because that’s what it does at hotels. Mind you the room as already taken care of, this was just for incidentals. So taking my money in anticipation of money I may spend. Well there was beyond plenty of money in that account so I just needed to authorize the charge by approving it on my phone, which generally sends me a text message that I can reply to and then we’re good to go from there. Problem today and part of the problem that has caused so much chaos in my day is that for some reason for the last week I have not been getting text messages on my cell phone. I have spent countless hours on the phone with Verizon and we are at the point that I have ordered a new phone etc. etc. yet still nothing is fixing the problem and it’s been escalated to a different department that is taking 48 hours to apparently go into my phone remotely and solve the problem… Which is neither here nor there but it’s not like I haven’t done everything I can to sell help solve that problem. The last thing I needed was one more issue because of it especially this one. So the front desk girl then goes on to Asked me if I had any cash to which I said “I don’t know I’m gonna have to look” she walked in the back as I was looking through my bag and when she came back I told her that I had $90 cash on me and figured that should take care of it because there’s not really that much at that hotel spa amenity or restaurant wise that I would really want to charge anyways. I also told her that she could turn off the ability to charge to the room until I could get to the room and figure this out with my bank to which she of course denied. Which is ridiculous because we all know then they can just shut off the ability to charge to the room if they want. LOL I was asking for was for her just to could do that for a short period of time until I can get situated and figure it all out.She then goes on to tell me thatThe amount of cash they would need, after she knows that I only have $90 at the moment, would be $250 if you can believe that garbage! I don’t even think that hotel has anything in it worth $250. Needless to say at this point that was the last strong and I do not like to reward bad behavior and this behavior was despicable and extremely cold and heartless in the Middle of a national crisis and if you just asked me it is no way to treat customers that spend a lot of money at your business. I could’ve easily driven into town taking 30 minutes to an hour to call Wells Fargo or gotten more cash out, but at this point I just had such a sick taste in my mouth about the thought of even staying there and just to see how unknown understanding and accommodating and disgusting this company is makes me never want to come back again. Considering I spent $350,000 last year with the Gila River casinos And was looking to take my business elsewhere I think that they made a huge mistake and I will not be back and neither will any of my friend. I hope that at least one person who’s considering going here will read this review and think about how whether your customer that spends one dollar or $1 million we all need to stop rewarding bad behavior because these businesses deserve for us to turn our backs on them and stop patronizing their place of business and making them rich when they wouldn’t piss on us while we’re on fire. End of story. Zero out of five stars.
