Going to a casino should be fun. I did not have much of that. I never hit a single bonus and very little winning. I ordered a soft drink through the screen on the slot machine. It never came. Ate a bacon cheeseburger that cost $15. Also had a small cup of chili that costs $7. I took a side trip to the Dwarf Car Museum about 14 miles away out in the middle of nowhere. That was a lot of fun and only cost me $5. I am going to Harrahs in Laughlin in a couple of weeks. I am hoping to have a better experience there.
Great value for the money but they could be a little more accommodating

I have stayed here numerous times , with each time rating it a 5. This time I was given a room that was more worn down than the other rooms that I have been given. Overall the hotel is out of the way from Phoenix/Scottsdale and early morning and late afternoon/evening traffic is rough so give yourself an extra 20 minutes to get anywhere. Nevertheless it is a great value, clean, modern and well kept. During the week the price to value is excellent. It is a nice place and despite the inconvenience of adding a long drive it is my go to hotel when driving across county. A couple of things where they can do better. They could provide a better (closer) parking area for overnight hotel guests. Another thing that bothers me. I am close to 70 and have stayed at thousands of hotels during my business career. I have been an elite status member for decades in just about every program. On less than a handful of occasions I have asked for a late checkout (up to a hour) and each time, including hotels that I am not an elite member with, has granted me my request. Ak chin is the only one that said a hard “no” despite my Diamond status. I have been around long enough to know that every hotel room isn’t turned over first but they refused to turn my room over later on. Rules are rules and the front desk were only messengers, still I wonder what’s the advantage of being a high tier rewards member?
AK chin rocks!

Loved this resort & casino!I’ve worked at 3 tribal casinos and this was a great property to stay and play! FRONT DESK- Check in was a breeze and all staff was very helpful and accommodating! Dana checked us in to both of our separate rooms and she was very helpful to direct us as we booked two different towers, and she also gave more information that was helpful being a first time guest! The second day of our stay I inquired about daybeds by the pool and Dana was there again to help answer questions we had and explain where to go to check in for the daybed. Thank you Dana! Our rooms were both very nice and clean. Layout was great & plenty of space. We were all very satisfied.POOL-Very nice pool area! Water was about 84 degrees and they have a slow walk-in area or steps. Two hot tubs that were good and HOT with strong jets… which was a nice bonus mini back massage for us golfers. Lol. They designed the pool bar wonderfully. You can swim up and relax in the water on the underwater stools, or you can walk up/belly up on the other side of the bar out of the water, which also had a shaded lounge sitting area. We chose to rent a day bed for comfort purposes as us ladies spent the whole day catching sun by the pool while the guys took off golfing. The daybed was very affordable and also includes its own umbrella. Very comfortable with multiple options for incline for head or legs. We really took advantage of this as it’s meant for two people but, with the guys coming and going and all of us in and out of the pool/hot tub it was enough to share. However, if the guys would have been there all day with us I would have reserved two! Totally worth it. It was a perfect day!Side note: The guys golfed at the Sand Dunes Golf Club about 10 mins away and the course was very nice and in great condition. The ladies met them there after for dinner in their nice clubhouse. If you are with a group who may not want to play a full 18 then try twilight tee times as the rates were fair and they fit in about 13 holes. However, don’t pull up to the first tee box until you are ready as it starts a timer on your cart 😉CASINO-Nice gaming floor, beautiful gift shop, drink serviceIt can be confusing at first because the layout is somewhat circular. The front desk has copies of the resort map that is very helpful for first timers trying to find their way around! The bar had live music both Friday and Saturday and we really liked both bands! It was a little too loud for the machines close by. The bartenders were excellent with the high volume! I didn’t catch their names as I just walked up for drinks, but great service as well! The gaming floor has one area that used to be a poker room that now has some machines for a smoking area. The rest of the gaming was all non-smoking. Very nice. Side note: there is nice heaters over all the benches out front of the main entrance for smoking and also a designated area with a fire pit lit at night on the way to the pool. Nice set up planned for both smokers and non-smokers… which we had both in our group. My ONLY complaint of the whole casino was that the card readers didn’t read my players card on multiple machines. I use my Caesar’s Rewards card at all times at any of the properties I go to, but we all had the same problem. I kept double checking if it was my card by putting in the machines next to me, and it was indeed the machines’ card readers. So I would have to choose to move over a machine if I wanted to earn points, or stay on my machine and not earn points.FOOD-Choc Block & Brew-We had a couple cocktails in the front bar lounge area. Nice seating and friendly staff. Then we decided to get a table inside for dinner. We all enjoyed everything ordered. We were seated about 6pm. The guys ordered Prime Rib it was cooked to perfection. Nice and tender. Lobster Bisque soup for $10 and I LOVED it. I also ordered a side of baguettes for dipping, which was enough to share. They worked well with the side of creamy spinach too!! Definitely staffed appropriately as we were highly impressed how fast everything came! They also provided a nice little ice cream with berries and whipped cream for the birthday boy 🥳Agave-Good for breakfast. Denver omelette was delicious 😋 We will be back!
