Cons.. First floor huge gaps in front door which lets small and big bugs in. We saw so many bugs in the room, also saw dog fur that did not belong to our pup. Door needs to be resealed and room needs bug sprayed. Would never take our pup there again. Hoping we did not take home any bugs with us. Table in the room was sticky. Was thankful I brought wipes with. Pool was cloudy looked gross, they need to test the water making sure the levels are safe. They need to take the hose to the bird poop off the sidewalks and chairs outside and scrape it off. No valet or carts, would help older people to have carts by the door to use. We used our comp points and it wasn't worth it. So glad we only stayed one night, it was one night too many. It was the last day of celebrating my 70th birthday, not a good last day/night. Husband did tell them about the bugs in room, he got an apology.Pros.. Friendly people and Agave Restaurant was delicious. Room was good size and liked that the floor was tiled and not carpeted. The gambling area was huge and liked the dividers in between the slots. At some point we will try them again without pup, but in the new tower section. BTW. Skip the first floor.

The resort is in the middle of nowhere next to farm fields to the south. It's the desert. There are going to be bugs. As long as they're not cockroaches, I'm not too concerned. Also, being next to farmland, on Sunday night around 7 PM, a lovely odor of fertilizer wafted over the resort. Luckily the pool was already fairly empty.Yes, there is no room service. Day to day maid service also seemed non-existent. I also never saw the valet open. I have no doubt these are all Covid related, in an attempt to minimize contact and the possible spread either from staff to you or vice versa. Welcome to the Post-2020 world. Such is life.I'm not a big slots player and the only 2 blackjack tables I saw were $25 & $50 a hand with only 1-2 people playing on Saturday night of Labor Day weekend. Judging by the pool crowd, it was the busiest day of the holiday weekend. But then, I was primarily there for a relaxing, getaway weekend which is why I booked a pool access room. Being able to walk out of my room, across a small patio area and directly onto the pool deck was awesome! I spent the majority of my stay by or in the pool. This brings me to the highlight of my stay, the pool bar & bartenders. Sam, Moses & Richard were awesome. As busy as they were (especially when 2 would go on break) they were rock stars. The only thing I would recommend to guests is that when the bartender says they're going on break, order 2 drinks at a time. It might be a bit before the bartender left behind gets back around! The drinks were quite tasty and not overpowering with alcohol, but they certainly got the job done!I look forward to coming back in the next couple of months for another getaway and to enjoy Sunday football at the pool bar!
Most Unfriendly place on earth. No housekeeping, no room service, no humanity.

Most Unfriendly place on earth. No housekeeping service, no room service. From the moment you walk in you are inundated with rules and bureaucracy with threats of expulsion if you break the rules. We hosted my wifes 50th birthday here, reserved a private pool cabana for the day and then tickets for 3 Doors Down at night. We check in and are given bracelets for the pool, and asked if we could get a couple more for guests and were harshly told NO with NO EXCEPTIONS. I ask about our Cabana and am told I need to 1st come back to the front desk at 7am to complete paperwork for our pre-booked cabana, then we take that paperwork down to the pool attendant to get our cabana and another set of bracelets that must be worn in addition to the first bracelets or else. I arrive at the front desk at 6:55am the next morning and am abruptly told they will not issue any cabana paperwork until 7am sharp and go away and come back in 5 mins. Sigh, ok. Finally get paperwork, cabana, more bracelets, and are enjoying the cabana with friends for my wifes bday party later that day. The hotel staszi repeatedly come by and barge into your 'private' cabana demanding to see bracelets for all guests (...or else). Overall, it is a nice resort but the experience is ruined by the unfriendly and unyielding atmosphere created by the hotel management and staff.

I have stayed here twice, most recently being in July 2021. Harrah's Ak-Chin makes for a quick and easy getaway from the Phoenix area. It's about 45-60mins from city center. If you go to the casino and gamble just a little bit, the offers will start coming monthly to you for free/discounted rooms. Also important to note that this property is on an Indian reservation, so they may have different mandates/rules in regards to Covid/masking than the surrounding state and cities. Don't like it? Wait and go some other time. Simple as that. The most recent room was very nice and clean. They offer fridges but no microwaves in the room. You will need to place a key card into the slot near the front door to turn on the lights in the room. Wi-fi is good. TV reception is good. Beds were clean and comfortable. Pool was great! Not crowded at all. Swim up bar and grill - you can charge it directly to your room. You do have to show wristbands to enter and sign-out towels as well. Staff was friendly. No complaints. We will be back!
