Overall, problems are understandable due to shortage of help. We were very disappointed in the food court. Service was very slow and the food at the hamburger joint was especially bad. I presume these places are not owned by Harrahs but Harrahs should be able demand a higher level of service and quality for its customers who are virtually a captive audience with few or no food options available

Our room, in the Creek Tower, was showing it's age. There were unpainted areas on the wall, the bedside alarm clock was broken and the carpet in the hallway was worn in places. The room had areas that needed a good vacuuming and the shower needed to be cleaned. The casino itself was undergoing renovations. Our stay was not as enjoyable as in the past.

We decided to take an overnight road trip to Harrahs Cherokee. Used to come once a month and then Covid came. Hadn’t been there since February 2020 so I was looking forward to seeing the new hotel tower and doing a little gambling. We got a room in the new Cherokee Tower of the hotel. I was a little apprehensive about the newness of the bed but I am happy to say that the comfort of the bed was one of the highlights of the trip. This new part of the hotel complex is absolutely beautiful. Light and airy and the rooms are decorated and finished very well. These rooms are smaller than the older tower rooms but they have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bath amenities are well done too. Shower gel. Shampoo. Conditioner. Lotion. Hair cap. Qtip-cotton ball pack. Two different bar soaps as well. The bathroom is well appointed with a great shower (rain shower and spray) and decorated well. (Be careful of the blow dryer on it’s hotter setting. It’s really hot!)The sports book was pretty crowded but it was Sunday afternoon. Placed a couple of football bets and did some other gambling. Had a fantastic dinner at The Noodle Bar. Food is always hot and fresh. We don’t go there for the ambiance. We were a little disappointed by the lack of mask wearing, masks are optional at this time and 95% of the customers and dealers were maskless. Had “room service” breakfast the next morning. It was good but not the same as before. They bring your food in “to go” containers so it’s just a drop and run at the door. I understand and I was just happy to get it. Food was good. There is a new Guy Fieri restaurant in this tower as well. Plan on doing some walking when staying here! It’s a big complex. Also at this time there is a no smoking policy in effect. Smelled much better but lots of complaints heard. Friendly employees and great service. Looking forward to returning sooner than later.
Go to Vegas instead and make it The Venetian.

This is the greediest casino I have ever seen. It’s a shame they are associated with Caesar’s and now Caesar’s has lost a customer due them. If you’re a Diamond player or not, you get virtually no benefits. Sorry, $100 off of a $499/night room on weekends. Charging for drinks while gambling. I realized it’s CHEAPER to fly to Vegas for the weekend than to drive 3 hours to this place. The Venetian and MGM offer a lot more comps. I literally received more comps from playing at the Venetian in 5 hours than I have in 8 years total from Cherokee. And I’ve been a diamond 75% of the time. The machine payouts are horrendous but I’m foolish enough to keep putting in hundred dollar bills that last maybe 5 minutes. They fought so hard to prevent Kings Mountain from opening…..well karma….
