We decided to take a quick getaway to Harrah's Cherokee before school opens. We decided on this hotel due to the amenities and it's family friendly appearance. NOT! The bowling alley, arcade and pool were not open! All of the family friendly amenities... There was also NOTHING in the area or nearby. We ended up taking a day trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge... The rooms were clean and big. However, we had to call fresh linens, WIFI was NOT free, No microwave, No coffee maker. You also have to get a drive through temperature check, every time you come into the facility. Masks are required.
A sad day at Harrah's

First, I was surprised that a red roof inn was better value than the Harrah's,in service, cleanliness, and money. They allowed only 4 people at anytime on the elevators. No microwave or coffee in the room. My wife cleaned the room properly and you should have seen the filth. If we ever go back, we will not stay there.
Tried many slots but no payouts. People were humdrum & complaining it was so bad.

Stayed two days & spent $1,500 payout of $114! Tried many slots but no payouts. People were humdrum & complaining about no payouts. It is pathetic & just plain wrong for so many slots to not payout. After 2-3 spins, I move on if it’s not paying out anything & that was the case. I do not intend to return. They’ve been on a steady decline of payouts. Obviously they don’t appreciate their customers except to drain their pockets & that’s no fun!!!

My friend happened to have a comped room so we drove there for one night. If your room has been cleaned they keep a sticker on it. The room felt clean but my friend said it had a smell to it that I did not smell. Having a fridge comes in handy. Disappointed you can’t get any simple free Wi-Fi. Views were nice. She used the kiosk to check in and the guy at the front was friendly who took your temperature.Hotel is a little bit of a walk to the casino depending on what part you are in.Some parts were blocked off so it got a little confusing trying to get to the pool and down into the casino. I totally understand why due to Covid.Pool area is nice. Only had a drink there and it started to rain.Starbucks woman was super friendly. We also ate at Brio at the bar, friendly staff.Overall I felt they did a good job trying to keep the place sanitized and people wore their masks. Didn’t come across any “Karen’s.”However, the casino started to get full and we went back to the room.Short drive to the park to see Mingo Falls. Town of Cherokee looked cute. I would’ve liked to spend a few hours walking around.
