Rock out this summer with Blondie and Garbage for their Rage and Rapture Tour playing Wednesday, July 19 at Stir Concert Cove. This is one Harrah’s Council Bluffs concert you won’t want to miss.
Blondie helped pioneer the American new wave and punk music scene in the late ‘70s. Popular hits include “Call Me,” “Rapture,” and “Heart Of Glass.” The band took a hiatus from 1982 to 1997, but reunited and have stuck together since. To date, the band has 10 studio albums and plans to release their next one in May 2017.
Joining Blondie is the American-Scottish band Garbage. Garbage formed in the early ‘90s. Their debut album “Garbage” included the hits “Stupid Girl” and “Only Happy When It Rains.” Their sophomore album, “Version 2.0” had the Grammy-nominated hit, “Special.” Another big hit, “When I Grow Up” was featured in Adam Sandler’s movie “Big Daddy.”
Garbage’s unique sound comes from blending pop, rock, trip hop and grunge. To date, the band has eight studio albums with the most recent, “Strange Little Birds” in 2016.
See two iconic bands, both with rock star female lead vocalists, take the stage at Harrah’s Council Bluffs this summer.
