We recently visited Harrah's North Kansas City casino, as we had not been there for quite a while. We arrived around 11:00 a.m., expecting to use a "free buffet" coupon for lunch. When we got there, we found that they didn't have a lunch buffet during the week! AND they didn't have a breakfast buffet, either! So we left and went to another casino to eat a lunch buffet (Ameristar). We visited Harrah's North Kansas City casino again yesterday, to use the "free buffet" coupon. The buffet was $27.99! That was fine since I had a coupon, but my husband did not. So we opted to check out Winning Streaks. We checked out the menu right outside the restaurant and found that for both of us to order what we wanted, it would be close to $40.00! Of course, we didn't check out 37 steak house, because we knew it would be pricey. The only thing left was a small "snack bar". I guess we could have had a loaded baked potato soup for $5, but if we wanted anything else...well, it was just too much for us (i.e., $12 for a turkey sandwich) So we didn't eat until we got home. Sad that a casino/hotel in Kansas City does not have a breakfast buffet or a lunch buffet during the week. We get free room offers, but what good does it do if the buffet isn't open except for dinner during the week!
