My husband and I were going out for my birthday. So we stayed at Harrahs, so we could go to the casino and Gordon Ramsey’s. I booked our room online, and booked a Smoking room. When we got there to check in the lady at the desk, her name was Stephanie, was not the most friendly. I asked if it was a smoking room and she said no you didn’t put a preference and were sold out. And then she rudely stated we don’t guarantee your room choice only that you have a room. When we got up to our room, it was dirty and so outdated. The carpet was bunched up in several spots, there were stains all over the walls, there was MOLD in the shower, and a bunch of calcium build up around the bathroom faucet. When we told the shift manager upon departure, she waived the resort fee which was $16. I was very disappointed, especially paying $160 to stay for one night. Honestly, we could have stayed at a Hampton Inn for cheaper, and had a better room than that. Definitely don’t waste your money staying here. Oh, I’ve also added the pictures I took of our room condition.

I was a Diamond member there and would have expected to be treated at least like a human being, and instead was treated like a criminal off the streets!! Front desk ALWAYS RUDE!!!!

I got this hotel on sale on a travel website, so it was a pretty good deal. This is a casino hotel, so they charge a resort fee to upcharge the unwary. I think after all was said and done with fees and taxes I paid around $80 or so.Harrahs in Kansas City is divided into two towers, and our room was on the Kansas City tower side. The room was in desperate need of an upgrade. The walls were wallpapered, and the bathroom had a gold trim, giving the overall impression of a guest room at my grandma's house. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable, my girlfriend even got a backache the next day. And the bathroom water took about a full minute to reach a temperature of hot or cold. Also, this is a casino/hotel, so there may be some random drunks on the hotel floor. We were awoken at 230 AM because someone knocked on our door and ran away. There was no buffet, or breakfast thanks to Covid. But the one thing I did appreciate was a security van constantly circling the parking lot. It made me feel safer to park there overnight. In summary, if you stay in the Kansas City tower of Harrah's Kansas City, you will get a room to stay in, but it won't be a fun experience. I would recommend shopping around to get a good deal, because if I were charged over one hundred dollars for this room I would feel cheated.
