I booked this hotel for a weekend getaway with my husband and our two other friends. I booked 6 months in advance and was nervous due to all the other reviews. I went ahead and booked due to the rooms being comped on my Caesar’s app and due to it being an 11 minute drive to downtown Kansas City. The drive in was a little rough but once we turned into the casino property it was beautiful and well taken care of. I felt safe and relaxed. There was no wait at check in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a $17 a day resort fee which I knew I had to pay. They took $100 security deposit for my 2 night stay and the resort fee came out of that. We stayed in the Las Vegas tower and the elevator was a little run down but not enough to complain. Once we got off on the 7th floor we saw the stains on the carpet and the walls were a tad dirty. The carpet needed to be stretched back out. The halls are very outdated but again, the room was comped so we didn’t care. The room had a weird smell at first but not enough to complain about. The bathroom was very clean and spacious. The room was clean. The bed was super comfortable. The bed skirt had a burn hole in it but we didn’t mind. The walk down to the casino was wonderful and well kept. We ate at Gordan Ramsey’s and the food was amazing and the staff was great. We had fun at the casino. It is on the smaller side. Even though it is two stories the game selection was small. They had a lot of older slots. If the room was not comped I may not be as happy with the room but for it being comped we had a great time and would stay again.

Customer service was awful!Management needs to visit and give the site a complete overhaul!Worst place ever. You should probably book at Argosy. Good luck to the unfortunate customer that stays at Harrah’s!!!!

Staff was very friendly, but that’s about where the positives end. Stains everywhere, on the walls, the furniture, the light switches. Bodily fluids caked into the couch. The carpet was torn up and...More

Staff was very friendly, but that’s about where the positives end. Stains everywhere, on the walls, the furniture, the light switches. Bodily fluids caked into the couch. The carpet was torn up and stained, taped together with duct tape in various spots. There was a collection of hair in the sheets of the bed in the first room we were given. Black mold under the AC vent. The side of the bathtub was falling off and caked in black bold. The bed pillows were brown and lumpy, there were stains on the pillow cases. This is between two rooms (we were moved from room 465 in the Las Vegas tower to room 300 in the Kansas City tower) and both were similarly disgusting. All for almost $200 a night. The only thing this place was missing was bugs, and I can’t believe there weren’t any.

I haven’t had a worse experience at a hotel ever. First off, online it said I could check-in at 10:00 a.m so I arrived a little after and they said unless I waited til three to check in, I’d have to pay an extra $20 to check in to my room that was clean and sitting empty. Being a casino I decided to gamble while I just wait and while inside the casino my truck was stolen out of their parking lot. When I discovered this and told the security I was treated as an inconvenience the rest of my stay and disrespected time and time again by their inconsiderate and hateful staff. Having my credit cards stolen out of my truck I was ill-prepared to pay the unmentioned $75 a night security deposit on the room so I had to cancel my last couple nights of my stay because what online was said to be a total of $340 had now turned into a almost $600 bill that had to be covered at time of check-in. Unwilling to work with me or offer any support whatsoever even though the theft was on their property where they supposedly have a security team who like the hotel staff did absolutely nothing to make my stay enjoyable. Guaranteed to be the rudest people in the hospitality business you’ll encounter,,as I was packing up my room and leaving the premises they were actually laughing at my misfortune and how upset I was with their terrible staff and downright filthy hotel. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from this grade F establishment.

I was a very disappointed! I was more upset because the issue was my safety at the hotel. My husband and I stayed at this hotel during his business trip for 4 days and 3 nights. On the 2nd day while in my room talking on the phone someone opened my room door thank GOD the latch was on the door. This person did not knock on the door or announce if they were housekeeping nothing just opened my room door once they realized the latch was on the door this person still said nothing just walked away from the door leaving the door ajar. Did not say I'm sorry didn't realize someone was in here it's housekeeping nothing!!! I looked out the peep hole did not see anyone asked the person I was on the phone with to stay on the phone while I look out and open the door to see who tried to gain access to my hotel room. I grabbed some spray in case I needed to defend myself. When I opened the door a man was walking down the hallway with a rolling tub. I contacted the front desk about the situation and about an issue I was concerned about with the deadbolt on the door. The front desk sent up a maintenance man all he was concerned about was the deadbolt issue. I said I am not sure if you are just here for the deadbolt or if the lady at the front desk explained my other issue that someone tried to come in my room while I was in there. I told him what happened he says I will talk to her I said it was not a woman it was a man and he was not housekeeping. The hotel NEVER followed up with me while I was there about the situation or apologized for their employee trying to gain entry into my room. I went and purchased a hotel door jammer to make me feel safe. I am so disappointed that this hotel dismissed the concerns of my safety. If I had not had the latch on the door this may have been a different trip!
