I stayed here for my recent visit. The updated rooms were nice and clean. The new showers though could be dangerous, they have no door, The shower water obviously goes out onto the bathroom floor. They give you a towel for the mat but it's not large enough to cover the opening so the bathroom floor gets very wet, slippery and dangerous. Poor Design. Be careful. The toilet has a sliding glass door, not very private and of course it is not in balance and will not stay closed. Poor Design. Housekeeping staff did a WONDERFUL job. Everything in the hotel is priced at about 2.5 times normal. The items in the store are not priced... I have heard that this is because they change prices at will, so a soft drink can cost $4 today, more tomorrow. Systems went down, and at times was told I could not use my rewards points for purchases... had to pay cash. I earned those point believe me! The buffet is horrible. The food has really no flavor at all , even though the name of the buffet is "Flavors". There are none. At breakfast the bacon has no flavor. BACON! The most flavorful food in the world and they take the taste out it! It must take a special process to take the flavor from bacon. Nothing was good. At dinner the steak they serve is tough as leather and really is not seasoned at all. $21.99 for breakfast, $31.99 for dinner. Just horrible food. One night I stayed in and ordered a pizza to the room from the pizza place in the lobby. As you place the order on your app they charge you an 18% gratuity, then when they deliver it, the gratuity is "hidden" and they have a blank for you to enter a gratuity... this is another gratuity. I had had a few drinks so I fell victim. Left a $10 tip for the waiter who brought it to my room... the pizza with tip was $65. Yes $65. It was an "OK" pizza. Worth about $20 delivered with tip. Everything here is a rip off. No quality, with high quality prices times 2. While playing Mississippi Stud poker in the casino, the dealers did not know how to pay out the winnings. He screwed so many people while I was there. I spoke to the table supervisor to get it fixed and they did pay me my back winnings but so many players came and left while being under-paid for their winnings. Please train your dealers. If you play this game, for instance if you had 2 pair, they paid 3rd,4th,5th street at 2 to 1 but would only pay your ante at 1 to 1. I am not sure if this was poor training or something else. They weren't at all apologetic about this... acted like it was no big deal that they had been stealing from their customers for at least that dealers whole shift. Also the resort fees are RIDICULOUS. $39 per night. It's a joke. I can honestly say... Even if all Vegas hotels are like this one... I will NEVER stay at this one again. The only good thing I can say about this hotel (except for housekeeping which is rockstars) is that it is very close to a McDonalds, White Castle and Denny's just north on the strip.
