This was our second stay at Harrah's. Got our room comped this time. Was in a Valley Tower room (renovated). Didn't ask for an upgrade because room was comped. Just asked for a room on a higher floor and not near the elevator. Check in was quick and easy. We really liked the Valley Tower rooms. We had a room with 2 doubles. They are pretty much what you see in pictures. Room was clean as were hallways. Beds were comforable. Bathroom is nice, but the door is a 'barn door' style made of glass that slides open. Not much privacy if you're travelling with another person so be prepared! Our room didn't have bath tub, but that was not an issue for us. Shower is walk in and roomy. Shower head doesn't provide much of a stream. It's a 'rain shower' type, but we made do. There's a safe in room. We had a minor issue with the door. Somehow, the inside safety latch engaged (happened after we left the room so clearly happened when our room was cleaned) and we couldn't get in. I called security and they arrived quickly. Fortunately, I was able to get in with a little trick! The security guy says it happens sometimes and he was going to do the same thing I did!Elevators were clean and very fast. We loved the Casino. We only play the slots and were pleased to see a good variety to choose from. Drinks are offered frequently when you're gambling. Staff at the hotel and Casino are helpful and pleasant. Although smoking is allowed in the casinos, it didnt bother us. The ventilation system seems to be doing a great job. Nice for us non-smokers! We even recognized one of the hostesses at the breakfast restaurant from our last trip. She said she's been there 35 years. What a lovely person! All in all, Harrah's is a great hotel and casino. Would certainly recommend it.
