We used the express check in when we arrived, quick and pretty easy to navigate. New carpets, recently painted hallways get us to our room which was clean, newly renovated and modern. Unpack and settle in but notice noise coming from the ground level outside. Went for dinner and get back to our room to freshen up prior to hitting the town. Now the noise is quite loud. We head downstairs to find out what's causing all the noise. We didn't know that the hotel has a outside bar with live entertainment. The bands were good but, I didn't expect to be hearing them in my room. We let the check in rush settle down and talked to the staff at the front desk about moving. We mentioned we would try it for one night. The staff was very helpfull and set us aside another room for the following day if we didn't like the first one. The following day we went to guest services and explained that we prefered to move and there were no issues. Another room was ready and the move was simple. A little higher and on the other side of the hotel. Again a nicely renovated room but this time no ouside bar. Overall we were pleased with our stay. The hotel is undergoing renovations. There was some construction noise that could be heard in our room from above but, nothing to complain about. The casino is also undergoing reno's but in small sections. They'll cordon off an area set up tarps and screens and you don't even know they're there. The location on the strip is excellent. There's public transportation right out front and a short walk through the Linq will get you on the monorail. There's quite a few food choices between Harrah's and the Linq next door and if you want something quick and easy for breakfast Mcdonalds is right next door. Overall we were very pleased with our stay at Harrah's and would not hesitate to stay again.
