We booked the cheapest Mardi Gras room with 2 queens using a Total Rewards offer. Prior to our trip, I called the hotel and was told that renovated rooms are in a different tower and require an upgrade; one king bed also requires an upgrade. Like most resorts on the Strip, they also charge for parking so we decided to Lyft rather than rent a car. When we arrived, one staff told us to check in using the kiosk which said that our room was not available yet when it should've been since it was past the 4p check in time. We went up to speak to a person behind the service desk, and was upgraded to a Valley View room which is a renovated room. The room is beautiful and was on a higher floor so it had a decent view of the Strip. We were very happy with the room which was clean and comfortable. Location was also very good and since it was February, we were able to walk to Aria, MGM Grand, Venetian, and Bellagio. At that time the pool was closed for the season. They charge a resort fee which covers wifi for 2 devices and the fitness center which we didn't use.
