We were well taken care of on our reservation request; however, the first day of room service left a lot to be desired. The bed was not properly made-up, the trash cans were not emptied our request for a note pad by the phone was not fulfilled and no napkins were left as requested. Called management and they took care of it. The slots were not too friendly. We attended a Slot Tournament which was run well except when my husband went to receive his award. It was announced that there were three lines to use and nothing else. When he got to the desk after 20 minutes in line he was told he was in the wrong line and had to go back the the end of the 3rd line where he could receive his award. My husband then proceeded to the end of the 3rd line without saying a word, (He is always Cool) There should have been better instructions announced prior to the awards given out and people assigned to each line to insure people were in the right line to receive their awards. This was not done. The best part of the trip was the Valet parking and the Bell Service. Laughlin beats all properties in these areas hands down. The Buffet did not have Chop sticks available and they were on back order, this was the second time that they ran out of chop sticks. I believe they can do a better inventory on needed merchandise. The river boat does not come to Harrahs any more and for getting a welcome basket or tote bag (Diamond & Seven Stars) on your stay, that has been eliminated plus the cookies. Yes things are not as bright as before and there will be many more changes as the ownership changes.
