This place is a shambles. I don’t know how anyone can rate this place highly. It’s filthy dirty. The rooms are so old and outdated. If our room wasn’t complementary I’d demand my money back. The hallway carp has bleach stains on it. The entrance has black stuff on the floor that looks like it has been there for a very long time. I wouldn’t bring my for family here, I’d be ashamed.

Here we go again. This property has the most inept management and has no clue how to properly run a hotel. For the second time in as many stays this property has failed to provide the room request made on the reservation. I selected a non- smoking room on a high floor on my reservation which was available on their website. Yet, when I checked in late night all they had was a room on the smoking floor. As the brilliant Harrahs employee stated last time and again tonight, you lnow we don't guarantee room types. Jesus, a monkey could follow that script.As I explained to the employee if your hotel has 50 smoking rooms and 50 non-smoking rooms your website is not going to let 100 people select a non-smoking room. It just doesn't work that way. So, the only plausible explanation is one of your professors working the front desk tonight elected to give another party that checked in before me, who had a smoking room selected, a non-smoking room.I will make the case that another party in my group got here earlier than me. They had reserved a non-smoking room and lo and behold got their non-smoking requested room on the top floor.The last comment by the professor at the front desk is to insult my intelligence and with a straight face tells me, but don't worry, they're smoking floors but they don't smell smokey. . Raise your hand if you fell for that line.I've never had this issue at any other Caesars corporation property.It's insulting, rude, and completely disingenuous to think this property even has an inkling of what decent customer service and appreciation is.All the front desk and hotel management employees at Harrahs Metropolis should be kicked to the curb. Maybe Caesars corp can roll out some mandatory Basic Hotel Operation and Customer Appreciation 101 courses.Just an amazingly inept group of people running this property.Here's my TR#. I have no shame after the recurring pattern of behavior from Harrahs Metropolis. As before I'll get the canned response from some lackey that apparently carries no weight and has no meaning.11000139236If someone from this property could give me a customer relations contact from Caesars Corporate, I wouldn't mind sharing my experiences with their Executive Management team. We'll see how this request goes. Now I'm off to the cleaners to wash my suitcase of clothes that all miraculously reek of smoke though the brilliant professor at the front desk assured me these are just smoking floors but there is no noticeable odor of smoke present.Good day!

I understand that rooms aren’t guaranteed however it’s due to asthma and when I told them why they didn’t care and were very inconsiderate and borderline rude. Won’t be back and don’t recommend. Go to Vegas and don’t waste your time here. You’re not wanted by the staff.

Pathetic Service

Diamond Plus member. Reserved King, Non-smoking room. Drove 6 hrs for a 3 night stay. All non-smoking king rooms taken. Of course, I received the pathetic excuse "you know the room types are not...More

Of course, I received the pathetic excuse "you know the room types are not guaranteed". I'm sure their reservation system doesn't over extend room type bookings which only leaves one result. A front desk employee gave my room to someone that checked in before me, who didn't have a n/s king reserved. Maybe a friend, a local or a good bribe. Of course I asked if I could change my room the next day. Denied. A last chance opportunity for the night manager to provide exemplary customer service, and satisfy a customer by correcting their mistake. My take. El Dud-rado or whatever the parent company is now can take their lame excuse for their properties business policies and put it you know where. Me, I'll never return. I expect better especially after being a long time dedicated customer of the Caesar's program. Maybe it's time to trial the Mlife properties and see how their treatment is towards dedicated customers. They could just do the bare minimum and surpass El Dud-rado. And here's my TRs number 11000139236. Don't mind outing myself because I really take offense when subjected to such pathetic, inconsiderate and uncompassionate behavior to correct and rectify a poorly managed mistake on their part.
