Here we go again. This property has the most inept management and has no clue how to properly run a hotel. For the second time in as many stays this property has failed to provide the room request made on the reservation. I selected a non- smoking room on a high floor on my reservation which was available on their website. Yet, when I checked in late night all they had was a room on the smoking floor. As the brilliant Harrahs employee stated last time and again tonight, you lnow we don't guarantee room types. Jesus, a monkey could follow that script.As I explained to the employee if your hotel has 50 smoking rooms and 50 non-smoking rooms your website is not going to let 100 people select a non-smoking room. It just doesn't work that way. So, the only plausible explanation is one of your professors working the front desk tonight elected to give another party that checked in before me, who had a smoking room selected, a non-smoking room.I will make the case that another party in my group got here earlier than me. They had reserved a non-smoking room and lo and behold got their non-smoking requested room on the top floor.The last comment by the professor at the front desk is to insult my intelligence and with a straight face tells me, but don't worry, they're smoking floors but they don't smell smokey. . Raise your hand if you fell for that line.I've never had this issue at any other Caesars corporation property.It's insulting, rude, and completely disingenuous to think this property even has an inkling of what decent customer service and appreciation is.All the front desk and hotel management employees at Harrahs Metropolis should be kicked to the curb. Maybe Caesars corp can roll out some mandatory Basic Hotel Operation and Customer Appreciation 101 courses.Just an amazingly inept group of people running this property.Here's my TR#.
