Harrah’s New Orleans is committed to help make our community a vibrant place to live and work. Through the increasing employee engagement in service programs and developing meaningful partnerships with local organizations, Harrah’s New Orleans is seen as a positive corporate citizen promoting good throughout the Greater New Orleans region. 

We support the community through:

  • Volunteerism
  • Charitable Donations
  • Community Partnerships and Sponsorship 
  • Community Grant Program

We primarily focus our community efforts on programs which benefit seniors, education, health, and community development. 

VOLUNTEERING HERO is an employee-based volunteer program which acts as goodwill ambassadors for Harrah’s in the Greater New Orleans community. Volunteers make noteworthy, visible contributions to the community by devoting their time, skills, expertise and dedication to helping others. By actively participating in charitable and civic events, the HERO team demonstrates that Harrah’s employees make a positive, real impact in our communities.

Past Harrah’s New Orleans HERO Projects include:

  • KaBoom Playgrounds at Behrman Elementary at East Jefferson YMCA
  • Young Leadership Council (YLC) Wednesdays at the Square
  • Boys Town of Louisiana
  • Junior Achievement’s NOPS K-8 Initiative
  • Painting at Charles Drew and Joseph Craig Elementary Schools

Non-profit organizations needing volunteers must submit an in-kind request online at: at least 60 days before the event or needed date. Click on Online Charitable Giving to be directed to the online donation form.  Documents or letters can be uploaded as attachments.


Caesars Foundation provides support to nonprofit organizations that serve communities where Caesars Entertainment employees and their families live and work. Caesars Foundation focuses its philanthropic giving strategically in three categories: older individuals, sustainability and civic programs, which are defined as being vital to a particular community. The Caesars Foundation supports projects through 

Harrah’s New Orleans submits grant requests to the Caesars Foundation on a quarterly basis. Recipients of Caesars Foundation Grants include:

  • The French Quarter Festival 
  • Urban League of Greater New Orleans
  • National World War II Museum
  • Greater N.O. Ed. Television Foundation (WYES-TV)
  • American Heart Association
  • Liberty Kitchen
  • Restore the Earth Foundation

Harrah’s New Orleans provides assistance for a variety of charitable causes. Organizations receiving support from Harrah’s New Orleans include:

  • United Negro College Fund
  • Louisiana Children’s Museum
  • AARP
  • Jefferson Chamber of Commerce
  • New Orleans Chamber of Commerce
  • American Red Cross
  • Bridge House

The New Orleans City Council / Harrah’s New Orleans Casino Community Support Grant Program provides grant support to local organizations and projects that contribute substantially to the well being, development and growth of the New Orleans community. The program is intended to be broad-based and to foster a diversity of meritorious organizations and projects.
