Get The Led Out is so devoted to the recordings of Led Zeppelin’s music that they play more accurate versions of the studio recordings of Zeppelin songs than the original band ever did live. This is what separates them from every other Led Zeppelin tribute act.
As for Zeppelin themselves, they never wanted to do note-for-note renditions of their recorded music in concerts, so this is the closest fans can come to hearing live versions of what was actually laid down in the studio. While other acts try to mimic Zeppelin live shows, Get The Led Out mimics the records.
The band, which formed in 2003, has 6 members, two more than Led Zeppelin did, because it is necessary to have more players to get the exact sound of studio songs. Their concerts last over two-and-a-half hours and the setlists change often
Billed as The American Led Zeppelin, Get The Led Out is a tribute act in a class by themselves. Check them out Oct. 20 at Harrah’s Casino New Orleans.
