The greatest singing and dancing mother-daughter combination in the history of showbiz was no doubt Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli. The legacy Garland left behind and Minnelli still builds upon to this day is beyond impressive.
Speaking of impressive, there is no better tribute act to Garland and Minnelli than "Liza & Judy, Together Again." The two-act show is structured as if the talented female performers were together just one more time for the concert of a lifetime.
Garland showcases such legendary numbers as “Rockabye Your Baby,” Swanee” and of course, “Over the Rainbow.”
Minnelli tackles, among others, “”Cabaret,” “I Love a Piano” and recreates “Bye Bye Blackbird” from her Radio City Music Hall concert complete with the show-stopping tap dance.
Together, they up the ante, with duets of songs like “The Trolley Song,” “Hello Dolly,” “Be a Clown” and “All That Jazz.”
The magical tribute closes with “New York, New York.” Liza and Judy made it there, and this show could make it anywhere, including Harrah’s New Orleans on Sept. 22.
