Decided to go gamble in New Orleans in August due to over 600 bucks in free play. To cut the trip short, we broke the trip into two parts, from Atlanta to Biloxi, and then Biloxi to New Orleans on August 13. We stayed in Biloxi for two nights at the Harrah's Gulf Coast. We arrived on Sunday evening August 11, 2019. We were told the suite was upgraded and it was fairly nice, but run down and antiquated in some areas. There was no true walk in shower and getting into the high sided bathtub was difficult and somewhat scary. We had virtually no free play in this casino but we got three buffet ticket.--not so good as the buffed is closed for lunch and breakfast on the weekdays. We valet parked the car, and went out on Monday night. When we got to our destination the car was covered in some type of industrial solvent/soap. We went to a car wash to get it off, but it would not completely come off. We then went back to Harrah's security to explain the issue, they never offered to wash or wax the car, and never said they were sorry, only we will look into it. We got up on Tuesday morning, and waxed the car ourselves, trying to get the solvent off. We called New Orleans Harrah's to explain were were going to be late due to the incident and was job. After all of this, this solvent/chemical etched the top of the car. Making matters worse, we arrived at Harrah's NO, and missed 650 bucks of free play on August 13, 2019. We had to fight and argue for thee days, until Terrance at Harrah's gave us the free play. It was exhausting. Harrah's almost lost a customer for life. The Harrah's New Orleans Hotel is very nice, but there are issues. There is no true cafe to eat in, only a huge buffet, and overpriced steak restaurant. Making matters worse is that food around the Hotel/Casino is very expensive. We each had two chicken dinners (two piece) and the bill came to almost 40 bucks. The upgraded suite room was superficially nice, but the carpet and furniture had a moldy dirty smell to it. I would suggest to this hotel that a list of restaurants be provided to guests withe some economical choices. Slot play at NO Harrah's was good compared to Biloxi but that isn't saying much. Harrah's Upscale and overpriced Steak Restaurant was not good. The NY strip steak was charred to a burned crisp on the outside, while being somewhat dry inside. The chicken dish was very dry, and most of the foot ultra-salty, despite a request for less salt.Leslie/Andrew are super
