Conveniently located at the edge of French Quarter cuisine and entertainment — nothing is out of reach, but nothing interferes. This casino supports excellent poker action, a clean environment and a friendly, capable staff. We will return often. (Plus: we enjoyed several non-casino entertainment options during our visit, all of which we’re excessively convenient to the casino facility), for the far reaches of the New Orleans metropolitan area — if the pleasant walks do not suit your style, the trolley as ferry are a few steps away — and taxi or Uber service can be accommodated with a paltry 2 minute wait).

Very friendly staff as always, as I am a regular. Everyone is easy to talk to and easy going. Truly enjoy the location of Harrah's as its just down the street from the French Quarter for some night life or great food anytime, if you get bored of the excellent hospitality and an inviting casino floor. Fun never stops.

I love the city and the staff in the hotel and casino were great. But it stopped there, let me explain. When my room was ordered, I requested a room near the elevator and a room with a fridge for my meds. Realized after a day that I was in a wheelchair access handicapped room. Tiny shower with a seat, no threshold in shower. Shower curtain that allowed water to go everywhere on the bathroom floor. And yes I repeat the staff in the casino and hotel were great. We had a reservation for the Steakhouse and we arrived on time and were seated quickly. We ordered steak, my wife's extra well done and mine "medium rear, not raw" is exactly the way both were ordered. Her's was as ordered yet mine was raw. I took two bites and sent it back with my baked potato. Ten minutes later the steak came back but the baked potato was now lukewarm. My waiter came over and asked if all was ok. I explained in an analogy that when McDonald's screws up my burger they remake one but I have to tell them to replace the fries with hot ones. I didn't think I had to tell the high priced steakhouse to replace the baked potato. The waiter agreed. We completed our meal and the waiter appeared again. He explained: The restaurant was low on baked potatoes and that is why it was not replaced To make up for that the restaurant agreed to reduce the bill to $100 (from about $140) for which I had a comp for. They also offered us a free desert. The waiter returned with the check which was $100 plus tax ($110). I gave the waiter $40 cash to cover a $30 tip and the $10 tax on the bill. He returned with one desert and the paid receipt. The paid receipt was for only the $100 so I guess the waiter pocketed the $10.I highly recommend the casino and hotel. The staff was great. If you want a high end steak house go to Ruth Chris in the hotel also.
